Can I ask.. what have your colleagues been saying that tells you they've noticed a difference? Something positive must be happening or you wouldn't be getting these comments! (Feels good when people notice doesn't it? I've had a few people at my work ask if I've lost weight. Well yes, yes I have!)

You must have an awesome job/church if they have cookies and donuts stashed in their cupboards!! Would never get that at my work (maybe that's a good thing...). These might all be suggestions you've already tried or considered, but... 1. Create your own stash of food that's less bad for you but that you'd still consider a…

When I see cyclists NOT riding in single file on narrow roads, I like to yell out, "don't ride abreast - ride a bike!" :drinker:

I have a friend who LOVES http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/ - I haven't tried it but I'm not big on baking/desserts. I know they're not everyday meals but it could give you some variety

These people are just jealous.

I don't need extra weights when doing squats to feel it working! I only do 20-30 each time I fill my drink bottle up at the fridge but can always feel a bit of a burn afterwards. My legs feel great.

Are we the same person? Except I don't think in feet and pounds. Metric represent. I stopped using MFP 2 years ago and have just re-started to try and kick my butt a little bit. 1.67m tall (also just under 5'5"), did get up to 75kg (165 pounds) am now at 67kg (147!!). Spooky. Not keen to get as low as 56kg (which is 125…

I feel like I'm a little misunderstood here - I'm not saying 'chicken is bad, don't eat it'. I'm saying it is higher in calories than I thought it would be; my pre-MFP chicken serving size would be a whole lot bigger than my post-MFP chicken serving size. It's making me think more about how much of it I have and what I eat…

Mmmmmm that looks delicious!! Funnily enough I have taken chicken out for dinner tonight but am going to a boxing class so we're even steven. Also I don't talk in ounces so I'm getting brain hurty from so many calculations! Good to get used to it though since I'm holidaying in the US for the first time in a couple weeks…

Surely you've seen the size of some of the chicken breasts restaurants dish up - they'd be at least a cup's worth. And I swear the most common chicken breast meal I see on menus is stuffed with cream cheese and wrapped in bacon. Just saying, previously I would have eaten that and thought, 'ooh I'm being a bit naughty'. Now…

Yup - most packs of gum say "excessive consumption may have laxative effect" !

I know people who have just joined Weight Watchers and they said that diet soft drinks are 0 points (as are fruit and veg) so they drink heaps of the stuff!! Veg I understand, but fruit is full of sugar even if it is natural, and diet soft drinks contain god knows what! If you're going to do something, do it properly -…

Some things that I do: - have a yummy herbal tea - have water crackers and cottage cheese with a sprinkle of spice such as lemon pepper - fill in my MFP daily food tracker in advance so I can see if I have any spare calories and can have a treat, or so I can plan to eat less earlier in the day and more later - have a…

I can weigh myself in the morning and again the same evening and there's a 2-3kg difference.. don't really understand how weight can fluctuate THAT much when I'm more or less sticking to 1200 calories a day.. Best to weigh once a week - agree, monday mornings are probably best

Hi Ell. i assume you're in the States somewhere and you're talking in pounds? If that's the case I don't think I'd worry about my weight so much if I were you.. Provided I've done my conversions correctly you're an inch or 2 taller than I am but 5kg lighter, which is about the weight that I'd be comfortable at. Are you…

It's crazy!! I just made a sandwich for lunch and I used some of Lisa's Coriander Dip on it - 2 teaspoons of it was the same number of calories as the bread!! You'd never think in a million years of what some foods actually contain!
