More carbs less fat??
I seem to be swapping about 10% of my carb goal per day for fat - which is probably my weight gain cause! Now that I know I'm doing it, what are some not-so-obvious ideas on upping healthy carb intake? Cheers

How did you determine your macros?
I've been going by what MFP set me, which was 50% carb, 30% fat and 20% protein. But I've been thinking lately that 30% fat is quite high - so I split fat and protein evenly instead. Did you get advice from a nutritionist, or do any research? What macros do you track other than carbs, fat, and protein?

Jogging vs. squats - ??
Can anyone verify that the following is more or less correct? (This is what MFP is telling me): Cals burned in 20min of jogging = approx 180 Cals burned in 1min of squats = approx 90 It sounds way out of proportion to me. Like I could do 2 minutes of squats and it would burn the same number of calories (more or less) as a…

Carrying cals over
Is it OK to carry uneaten calories over to the next day? I did a lot of exercise yesterday and couldn't keep up with food, so have a 300cal surplus from yesterday. Meanwhile I've tracked my food and exercise in advance today and I only have 285cal left for dinner. Can I give myself up to 585cal for dinner given yesterday's…

Coffee
How is the nutritional info SO different between a mug of homemade coffee with skim milk and a cafe-bought trim flat white? Consider: Homemade = 12cal / 1carb / 0fat / 1protein McCafe = 88cal / 12carb / 0fat / 9protein That seems like a huge difference to me, they're pretty much the same size, both skim milk... Do you…

CHICKEN?!
MAN I had no idea how many calories are in chicken!! 1 cup of roast chicken meat - no skin - 266cal! Add a bit of potato and veg and one meal is nearly half of my daily allowance.. imagine those restaurants that serve up a massive chicken breast wrapped in bacon and filled with cream cheese - never again!!! :O

Mindset change
I joined MFP a week ago, and while there's been no weight lost yet I have completely changed the way I look at food. I never used to think twice about having seconds or more than one 'treat' per day. Now that I'm keeping track of calories etc I'm forced to have 'this' rather than 'that', not as well as. I really don't NEED…
