Good advice thanks

I don't bother logging non-starchy veges - salad, steamed veg etc. Meh.

I don't know why more people don't recommend seafood! I think it's very high protein considering the generally low number of calories that go with it. From what I've seen on these MBs, people tend to jump straight to legumes, eggs, and dairy. Maybe the quality of seafood isn't that good where they live, or maybe they don't…

Wow OK, almost going in thirds seems to be pretty popular!
-
I meant the 30-35%, is that high? I don't know, that's why I asked. ETA: I just used the IIFYM calculator and it's telling me to eat 55g of fat per day so I suppose 60g isn't high after all. I think the percentages are throwing me.
-
Thanks, will give it a go
-
Omg what on earth is half and half, and creamer?! Are these american things? Good grief why dont you just use milk!!
-
Case in point - i made it to 1% over my protein today but it meant +7% fat and -8% carbs :/
-
Thanks for that - and for correctly assuming im not US :) it seems to me that a trend on here is to aim for the higher levels of protein and fat, then fill the rest up with carbs. Interesting to hear about your side effects too, i never would have thought that could happen
-
Wow that's a lot of protein! I think I'd struggle to eat that much protein every day without going over my carb and fat limit :(
-
Excuse my ignorance again but that sounds like a high amount of fat to me? Obviously it's working for you though? Do you work out pretty heavily?
-
OK thanks, that's a good starting point but I have to convert to kg! ... Fat .55-1.1 per kg Carbs 2.2-6.6 per kg Protein 1.65-3.3 per kg
-
Excuse my ignorance but what are those in percentages?
-
Lentil beetroot and feta salad :)

Don't I know it.. all through high school I'd walk the cross countries, I've never been athletic or into sport or anything. Now my dog makes me run - but he also makes me stop in the middle of it! You win some, you lose some! ;)
-
That is exactly me! Today I went for more or less the same 20 minute run twice - around 8am and 6pm. I felt like I had much more endurance at 6pm so maybe that works better for me personally.
-
Click Exercise, search Squats, it comes up with Squats (20 = 30 sec). Then you put in your weight and minutes. 65kg & 1 minute calculates it as 89 cal.
-
I thought so too. Thanks :)
-
Aaah ok maybe it's missing a decimal point!
-
Yeah I have contemplated doing that as well - just logging cardio. Maybe that's a good solution. But also if MFP's estimate of cals burned for squats is that inaccurate, maybe it should be removed?
-
OK that's exactly the response I was looking for - thanks for being helpful!
-
26yo, 65kg, 167cm. Doing squats as recommended by NZ Army.
-
This would be really helpful if I knew what the hell anyone was talking about! :indifferent:

Hi! I've added a few people, feel free to add me too. :flowerforyou:

Yaaaay fur babies! That's me :) Just got my baby a new squeaky toy. He loves squeaky toys.
-
Another option is coconut water - 40cal per 200ml.
-
This thread has made my day. Go on, be that clumsy guy that everyone tells stories about!

Most Black Eyed Peas songs are good. Throw a bit of Prodigy's Breathe in there. And Skrillex Bangarang. I like to box to Moby Honey (good beat to it). Gorillaz has some good ones too. LMFAO Sexy and I know it. Operation Blade by Public Domain.

A few homemade coffees with skim milk are pretty low cal. I'm a big plain water drinker but I also like soda water with fresh lemon or lime juice and herbal or fruit teas (hot or cold) - faves being peppermint and ginger (not together). I steer away from anything fizzy (other than soda water), even the "diet" stuff. If I…
