as someone who was once that teen who kept eating mom's "diet food", unless it was something particularly tempting i probably would have stayed away had she simply asked me (that is, if it actually annoyed her). even though we have the household mindset that foods do not particularly belong to one person, your average…

65 minutes of elliptical, promptly came back home and stuffed my face.

when i find myself in the kitchen about to aimlessly eat, i force myself to clean something. last night i really wanted a bowl of cereal (but the bowls were all dirty haha) and ended up taking 25 minutes doing the dishes instead, didn't even want to eat when i was done! cleaning will do that to you haha.

when i was super out of shape (and didn't want people to see me struggling just walking) i did about 8 minute on a stationary bike, then 12, then 15 etc. elliptical machines are also great for building up leg strength without being high-impact.

had the energy to play with my dog this evening :) he was so happy!

first, i was a dispatcher over the summer so do know that we (at least, I) feel bad about having to give you those calls. when i'm mad in a car, i sing along to the radio really loudly. we had a grumpy technician who took a few breaks a day to go for walks at whatever park he was near. basically, anything distracting. good…

this won't get me points for originality, but it is super amazing delicious * mccormick tex mex chili packet * everything on the back of the packet, but: use black beans, use tomatoes with green chilies * use ground turkey for the meat * add 1 can of corn * add 1 chopped green pepper * add 1 small chopped onion * prepare…

good news everyone, i forgot to put them in the refrigerator last night so they went in the trash this morning. edit: but thanks a bunch! i was so sad that my creative juices were just not flowing

10 lbs in i could kind of feel it more than see it, especially putting my hands on my hips like i so often do.
-
you're KILLING it girlie! seriously awesome.

i would probably approach as a joke and say "hey these clothes don't fit lol sometimes i have a hard time believing how much weight i've lost too!" i don't think there's any way to get yourself a useful gift out of the situation but at least she will realize her mistake and hopefully apologize. maybe ask her if she wants…

i get you! eating to lose 8 pounds in a month vs 8 pounds in a week really bugs me sometimes (not that i could actually do the first one). but, it does feel better generally.

easiest thing ever: 2 chicken breasts + a jar of tomatillo salsa, 4 hrs on high/8hrs on low. shred the chicken and do whatever you want with it!!

209, aiming for 140 here! got down to 159 a couple years back, but i can do it again! feel free to add me!

yaaaaasssss peanut butter

when i log my gains i get ticked off enough to do something, even any little thing. i would recommend the "few small changes" technique but that never works for me. i just have to literally throw myself back into it. "go big or go home". venture on over to the "success stories", that always gets me motivated!

33 minutes on elliptical + arm/chest/abs circuits on machines at the gym. first day back in a while! watched an episode of the office on my ipad while i ellipted (? lol)

went to a "healthy fast food place" (called evos, definitely worth a google if you live in florida or in the chapel hill, nc area) and got an order of 4 chicken tenders and they were DELICIOUS (and decent on calories too) but i could only eat 3 of them before i got full and i had to give the last one to my man :(

my boyfriend introduced me to putting cream cheese on sloppy joe's and it is AMAZING
