AWOLNATION

FitBit makes the Zip and One trackers that clip to clothing. I have the FitBit One that tracks steps, distance, stairs & sleep. The steps and stairs are most useful. I find the best place to clip it is to my bra. It's secure and hidden.

Many of us know that the calories are incorrect and we simply don't care. I guess we can't send you friend requests. ;)

Welcome back!
-
I have 154 more to lose. I've lost 29 so far and the difference in how I feel is amazing.
-
I'm sorry you had to deal with that. You're awesome for keeping on track while having a bad day.
-
They're great for thickening soups. :grinning:

I've lost and gained large amounts several times and it's always been a struggle. I'm a couple years away from 50 and 100+lbs away from my goal. This time is different. I'm determined.
-
That's about the same for me. I have, as the sleep Dr put it "Olympic level" sleep apnea (100x/hr). I'm no longer able to use my cpap and yet I still can lose weight by eating at a calorie defecit. I look forward to improvement in quality of sleep as I lose weight.

That's not a factor where I go. The TVs are all set to closed captions and if you want sound, you have to plug your headphones into the headset jack on whichever exercise machine you're using.
-
I'm single with a tiny freezer and I would end up throwing out a ton of spoiled food if I bought like that. :(
-
Make yourself go. Once you get past the first week or so, you'll start to feel restless on days you don't meet a certain amount of exercise.
-
Thank you both for your service/future service.

I found this on the blog: http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-whats-the-best-carb-protein-and-fat-breakdown-for-weight-loss/ I think I can use this unless anyone has anything to add.
-
Good for you! I like your attitude. I sent you a request.
-
There is a group here on MFP called FitBit users. It's a good place to connect with other FitBit users and get info. I have a FitBit One and love it. I just sent you a friend request.

This was addressed recently on the blog. Ask the Dietitian: Should I Eat Back My Exercise Calories? http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-should-i-eat-back-my-exercise-calories/

I work out to what I listen to at other times. Five Finger Death Punch's Wrong Side of Heaven albums are my current favorite.
-
I have an 8yr old border collie who's my hiking buddy on weekends. He's a flyball (retired) and frisbee dog. That's awesome that you're working toward doing SAR with them.

Buy a new scale or go to your Dr's office to weigh in. I've done that before.
-
I have a digital scale that takes a few seconds to register the weight, then displays it. I think it's averaging out the fluctuations as I sway slightly. I just go with whatever it displays and don't weigh again to compare. I think you need a new scale.

I'm actively using my FitBit, but I'm not at 10k yet. My current goal is 5500 and I've gone as high as 7k. Feel free to add me. https://www.fitbit.com/user/28N2MF

Is there a mall near you where you can walk? Can you use part of your lunch time at work to walk around in the building to get more steps in? Maybe climb some stairs too?
-
Think about what you want to track and look at features. I have the FitBit One and it tracks steps, stairs and sleep. I don't use the sleep tracking part, but the steps and stairs are important to me. The only thing I wish I had was the heartrate monitor that some come with.
-
Add it as an app in MFP. Then any workouts you log in MapMyFitness will update MFP. It won't sync past workouts. As you log, it updates.

Awesome ideas.

I would worry more about all that caffeine than the creamer. Try starting with 1 less cup of coffee first and see how it goes. If you're adding creamer to cut the bitterness, higher quality coffee will be just as bitter, so that probably won't make a difference.

It may have to be yoga-type pants for me then. I haven't worn a dress in over 39years, so that's out. I wish I could get enough support from a sports bra without it mashing them together in what looks like a mono-boob.

You know how miserable you are after a binge. Stop beating yourself up about it and stop changing your whole week to make up for it. Just log it and move on. The next time you encounter donuts at work, don't eat even one. That will just trigger the binge. You can look at it and say it's not worth it for the taste that's so…

I lost a year's worth of pizza! Whew! I feel so much lighter.
