When I had my Zip, the battery lasted a little over 3 months on average. I switched to the One, which is rechargeable and get about a week and a half on each charge. I always use the all day sync setting and clip it to my bra on the upper part of the cup with the clip on the outside and the tracker against the skin. I…

... They can if its a dislocated rib. Ignoring it caused long term problems for me. Don't make the mistake I made.

Sadly, that motivation has to come from within that person. All you can do is support them when they're ready to make a change.

That's the right attitude. Stick with it and you'll do great. :)

I go between midnight and 3am on occasion, but I always drive there and park close to the entrance. My gym is in a strip mall with a 24 hr fast food place next to it, which increases the amount of people in the area at that time. Even so, I wouldn't want to bike or walk to it at that hour.

There's s 100+ lbs group that has some great people. You may want to check the groups section.

This may not help you if you have shipping issues, but this may be of use to others looking for something similar. This is the brand I've used for the last few years. It's designed for the upper arm, but I wear it on my forearm and I can keep the case on my phone. It also can carry cards, a key or two and has a holder for…

I have the One and my boss has the wristband model with HR monitor. Hers is less accurate. It counted about 400 steps while she was sleeping one day.

I can't answer the question about working out, but have a suggestion for soaking it. Athletes foot is a fungus, so the acetic acid in vinegar will help. Soak in 10 parts water to 1 part plain white vinegar instead of the Epsom salts.

I have a sit/stand platform at work and I found it hard to adjust to at first. It wasn't until I started working out at the gym that I could stand all day at it without muscles in my back becoming fatigued. I do still alternate between sitting and standing, because even with 4 thickness of anti fatigue matting it's hard on…

Same here. It would be water weight and would only be discouraging. One day is not going to add real lasting weight and it won't stop you from losing weight.

Just eat within your calorie goal. If you're still feeling full, you can eat lighter, lower fat foods to aid digestion. Detoxes/cleanses don't help. Avoid anything extreme. Just move on and treat it as a new day with a fresh set of calories to aim for.

Thanks for quoting. I couldn't see past the jail bars. Sustainable until they reach maintenance, but I'm sure we all know what I meant. The method that gets them to goal weight is ultimately fastest and if they give up because the diet is too restrictive, it's not really that fast after all.

If you browse the forums for a while, you'll see a trend. People with unrealistic expectations, some with admitted eating disorders, all gravitating to the most extreme way to lose weight. Attempting to steer people away from that by encouraging weight loss at a rate that is more likely to be sustainable is a good thing.

I've experienced that in the past and I suggest you see your Dr.

Welcome! You'll find a wealth of information here and people on the same journey.

That's a good start. To me motivation is your starting point, but determination will get you through the rough spots and to your goal. If you want it that bad, don't let anything stop you. I know all too well the toll the extra weight can have and losing it is vital. I've yoyoed up and down too many times. This time I've…

Yep. I had the same problem. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app as blankiefinder mentioned and that fixed the problem.

I lost 33 have just under 150 more to lose. I started with walking, then added in cardio workouts at the gym on the treadmill. It wasn't until I started lifting weights that I saw huge improvement on my treadmill workouts. Make sure you have good shoes for walking. They're invaluable for protecting your feet from the…

True. I stole mine from a svelte friend. ;)

I think you've probably hit the nail on the head there. I hope you feel more comfortable as you get to know people on here. :)

I eat some, but never all because I know that what I've logged are grossly overestimated. I found this MFP blog post on the subject helpful: http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/ask-the-dietitian-should-i-eat-back-my-exercise-calories/

You look great! Congrats on your success! Keep it up.

Thank you. Are there differences in styles/brands that I should look for?

I'm usually too busy monitoring my heart rate and varying intensity to get bored. Between that, I watch tv or listen to podcasts.

I just got a Polder scale from Costco that I like. It tares to zero so that you can zero it out for your dish or container. It's got stainless steel surface, so easy to clean a and its easy to read.

I use the app on my phone. It makes logging ridiculously easy. Check it out if you have a smartphone.

You log it to be honest with yourself and to hold yourself accountable for your actions. No one else will do this for you. Don't lie to the person who can help you the most: yourself.

Seriously, she knows she's gained. If she's not ready to be honest with herself and deal with it, no amount of reminders from other people will make a difference.
