I try to stay below 1800 whether I exercise or not. Some times I go over if I exercise but I try not to. I am 58 yrs old and over 200lb. Have lost 32 lb. It works for me.

I ride my bike to work 5 days a week. I gain 244 calories. If I have time for the elliptical I can gain another 750 calories. I still try to eat between 1800 and 2000 calories regardless, even with the extra calories.

After 2 weeks of percent of weight loss, I have won both weeks. I told him unless he can find an accurate way to measure fat loss, we will stick with percent lost. Thanks everyone for your help.

If you loose the least amount of weight percent, you pay $5 each week.

I tell people I have discovered a guaranteed way to loose weight, it works every time. Eat less calories and exercise. Of coarse you want to make healthy choices but long as you stay under a certain amount of calories, you could really eat what ever you want.

Way to go, It is not a good idea so starve your body. I pick one day a week when I eat what ever I want. Don't get me wrong.
