40 min tempo then 20 minutes of hills all on the tread. I like me some Asics too but recently I've developed a greater love for Mizuno's.

I'm OCD really really bad. I have a 17 oz Nalgene bottle at my desk and I drink one full bottle per hour. Its a weird balance thing that I HAVE to do or the world will end.

Start out with a small goal like running for 10 minutes or running a mile and then slowly increase it. I keep a running log and at Christmas time in 2007 (10 weeks after giving birth) I could only run 1.25 miles but now I'm up to 5-10 miles a day. Stick with it! You'll be so glad you did!

Treadmill fan here too. I love running! I do cardio 6 days a week. 5 days of running and one day on the elliptical. Both are great weight loss tools.

I get so discouraged if I weigh myself everyday. Even if the scale only went up by .03 then I get upset and run an extra 3 miles or something. I only weigh myself twice a week now which is a huge change for me. I used to weigh myself twice a day. Talk about OCD! When I buy a new scale I just use one of my 5 or 10 pound…

I too have a baby with no schedule :wink: I bought a treadmill at home and get up at 4:30 every morning to run on it. I know its insanely early but I won't get to work out at all if I don't get up that early. Protein shakes are fantasic if you don't have time. So are protein bars. I personally eat Egg Beaters, 1 slice of low fat cheese and one piece of whole wheat toast every morning and it sticks with me.

I hate scales too. I guess to see if yours at home is accurate you can use a dumbell?? I refuse to get on the scale at the doctors office when I go because I know it won't be accurate after I've been drinking water all day.

Congrats on the loss. I do cardio 6 days a week. Cardiovascular exercise is so good for you. Not only for burning fat but for maintaining your overall health. Its good for your heart too :smile:
