  • Good to hear that you now have two scales to help with your healthy eating plan. Try to increase your exercise if you can. Even extra walking helps. I'm on holiday next week so that will be a challenge when there is a large buffet but I will just have to be careful. :-)
  • I started the 5:2 diet on Jan 17th which is 3 weeks this Satirday and have lost 14 pounds! It's briliant. As I have a few stone to lose I decided to fast on alternate days. I make home made soups with fresh, nutritious ingredients like watercress, asparagus etc and just have soup and a slice of toasted 50/50 bread at lunch…
  • I would suggest you stop eating when you feel full. Some foods help you to last longer between meals like wholemeal bread, cereals like muslei, weetabix etc and pasta and brown rice. Weight loss is also related to exercise. I have an ankle problem at present so stopped going to the gym and have very little exercise and am…

For example, if making a cottage pie, key in the ingredients and decide how many portions you will have and key that in too. I do…

Doctors recomend it. To speed it up you can have more fasting days. I fasted on alternate days. Just be careful to drink plenty of water so…
  • I started on Jan 16th and have had fasting days every other day so it will be 4 fasting days one week and 3 the next. I lost 6 lbs in the first week so am delighted! To make life easier on feast days I made both a cottage pie and a fish pie and divided them into 4 portions eating one and freezing 3 for other days. I just…
