- 30 years ago there were less overweight people - those wedding photos last forever - it's harder to find pretty dresses in larger sizes (depending on your tastes. i've gone dress shopping with 2 overweight brides to be and they had a doozy of a time finding dresses that had what they were looking for in their size)

then do less reps do 100-150 reps consistently is a good way to get repetitive stress issues with your joints especially considering that towards the end you probably wont be doing them with the correct form. lots of reps is NOT going to get you weight weight loss. what gets you weight loss begins first and foremost with…

but what if you do pilates and elliptical on the same day?

making sandwiches?

yes. because it's so easy for women to accidentally gain muscle mass. dont believe it when they say there are guys who have to work very hard at building muscle by eating a lot of food and doing a lot of high volume weight training and also using steroids. women can do it just by spending 30 minutes on the elliptical

same here. i've never seen it cut in half except at the expensive, fancier places  i live in chinatown and get banh mi for $3 when i go somewhere else it's like 8! i assume the extra $5 is the cutting convenience fee

if you're genetically determined to have thick thighs then they are going to be relatively think no matter what your weight . you'll just be a smaller version of whatever your body type is

in the US though that can end up on your credit report since you essentially agree to pay a certain amount and dont pay

well lesson learned.. read the contract. if they dont give you a contract then ask for one. this is true with anything in life involving exchange of goods and services. if i were you i'd chalk it up to a lesson learned, pay out the contract and thank my lucky stars that i didnt learn the lesson in an even costlier way just…

Any lifting is better than none, but free weights in general are better than machines because with free weights you also forced to engage the stabilizing muscles to perform that lift where as machines the muscle is more isolated. If you have the option to use free weights (kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells) then go with…

are you really eating very little? they could be correct. telling them to mind their own business but that rarely works but you can still try. if they dont stop then your choices are either to keep going and get mad about it when they say stuff keep going and joke about it when they say stuff or stop going to food related…

i mean this in the best [possible way.. oget some hobbies that dont involve you spending time looking at yourself and your collarbone in the mirror. learn a language, walk a pet, volunteer to others less fortunate than you, etc. but do something that's going to give you a bit more perspective on life than whether or not…

somewhere in the world a kitten dies when you do cardio and strength on the same day. PS 2-3 of my workouts a week are weighted cardio complexes. it doesnt hamper any progress i make on my she-ra weight days. in fact it might even help...

in the pool with a slightly too big swimsuit. was chatting up with the guy in the lane next to me when taking a break. he gets out of the pool and i decide to do a few more laps. i look down and realize that one of my boobs had floated out of the top of the suit :blushing:

this sucks :flowerforyou:

how much are you eating? why SHOULD you do 60 minutes of cardio 5-6 times a week, at least? start small and work your way up, especially since you are doing both a diet and adding in fitness. it's usually best to gradually work them in so you dont change too much too soon and get burned out. start resistance training now.…

if you're noticing fat loss then you're on the right path. don't go by the scale. it's not going to be linear. my advice is to weigh yourself once a month and let the smaller fat deposits be your indication that you're losing in the meantime.

but killing yourself every time is the only way to get dem gainz, brah

by getting off the elliptical and doing actual strength training work. not saying that the elliptical doesnt have it's uses for cardio, but if you want to work your muscles then work your muscles

i used the smith machine yesterday because dudebros were all over the benches. the main difference i felt was that i engaged less of my shoulder muscles which isnt necessarily a bad thing for me since i have shoulder issues and im working on rehabbing a rotator cuff. it's definitely not something i'd want to use all the…

i'm loving the rower at the gym. my trainer gave to something to work towards : lowering the strokes/meter to under 25, lowering the time to 500 meter split to under 2:15 and getting at least 10 m per stroke. it's pretty hard for me and the closest thing i can compare it to is sprinting although instead of trying to go as…
