The boob job neighbor's husband is making her wait until she is 45 to get botox. The neighbor assumes that I haven't gotten a boob job YET due to money issues or that I am trying to fix other things first so I can decide how big I want them.

your pace only matters if you are trying to win a race. If you are racing/running to enjoy racing/running then run the pace that feels right.

First let me say to OP, I totally understand the point of your post...that people say goofy stuff, well intentioned or not, and we have to let a lot of stuff roll off our backs. That is a powerful lesson to be learned in life. This bitty probably assumes everyone thinks plastic surgery is a given for people. I have a…

As most items are inputted by members it relies on us to correct things. when you select something if you go to the nutritional info tab it asks you if the information is correct. If you know that it is not correct then fix it so that the next user is not frustrated too. This is how we can all help each other.

The word I have heard from people who are on the "milk is bad for you" side of the argument is that the pasteurizing process changes milk to a point where it does nothing good for us. If you can get organic raw milk then there are some great values to milk but the whole - skim milk you buy at the corner store is next to…

I am at goal weight and have been nearly the entire 990 some odd days on MFP. I border on disordered eating to be sure BUT I use MFP as much to keep me healthy as I do to restrict. There are days/weeks when MFP has allowed me to feel like ice cream is OK because I can see how it fits in my target goals for the day/week. I…

There are people who spew the "knowledge" they have gained from various sources as if it is true. Is it possible that you might find a better option for you? Yep. I used to eat cereal and did not find it satisfying unless I ate at least 3 servings. Now I eat a banana with peanut butter and 2 eggs and feel much more…

I think you don't have to "be" anything. You get to make the rules for you. I have been a non meat eater 95% of the time for 16 years...a bit of fish when it is the healthiest choice every so often, although it can go months without even considering fish. I am trying wheat and dairy free right now too...but I will eat…

there is a dramatic difference in your face. You do not look anorexic but you also don't look like the same person. That is a big adjustment for people.

Let the guy off the hook. You opened the door by saying your thoughts on her appearance. Her having a nice body has nothing to do with your body or what he thinks of it. He has had some big changes in his life too the last few days. I have totally experienced big hormonal swings from pregnancy and serious hormonal issues…

To OP...run for a year at least and make sure you can complete a 10K comfortably then move to longer races. Enjoy running for all that it can be for you.

I have muscles and I run marathons and half marathons

I do them all the time and log them as I can get my heart rate up quite nicely. I will do squats, burpees, pushups, walkouts, planks, standing ab work, stair plyometrics, jumping jacks...lunges etc. I will create a circuit of 4-6 exercises and do 10-30 reps of each one...and then repeat the circuit 2-3 times...great body…

while my eggs are cooking...2 eggs scrambled with seasonings..that is it...I eat one banana with a TB of peanut butter on it..and coffee

The white ones...oddly the sling back with the nude one look more mature but in the white they are fresh

I agree pigging out on food to reach an online guestimation is foolish... I also agree that many PCP and docs are not very educated on nutrition. I had a doctor tell me that despite being at the ideal weight for my height, everything else about me being quite healthy etc, I would fix a circulation condition if "you got…

I don't know if this is already addressed as I did not have the chance to read all responses but you ate at a 3000 calories deficite but you also burned calories through activity so the actual deficit might be bigger.. Also, while 19 more pounds seems like a lot to you, and it would to me too, in the grand scheme of things…

Running aided my weight loss when I first started trying to lose weight 4 years ago, mostly because it helped me burn calories...at my goal weight my diet is important to me to keep me healthy, fuel my running, etc. I do all things now to be healthy, including lift weights...not to be skinnier.

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/depression-and-exercise/MH00043 summary: exercise can help with depression...the form of exercise is less important than just the fact that you moved...so lift, run, garden http://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/help-information/mental-health-a-z/E/exercise-mental-health/ essentially says that…

yes... I feel like this too...pretty often but I also know the whirlwind of unhealthiness that would plague me if I did not log

Don't eat the whole pizza...it is fine if you have a slice or 2-3

I enjoy a beer from time to time but it is either on a complete treat day...like my sister in law's wedding or it is figured into my goals for the day...if I know 2 beers fits but three doesn't then I only have two..and have a water in between... I can years without alcohol though and when I do drink it is for the…

Must say in most cases that I have been at the gym...which is often enough to say this ...most people are not looking at anyone but themselves but if they are looking at those who are bigger than themselves they do so with encouragement and see those who are starting off as inspirational. I see more eye rolling done…

you will only have to do this once or twice to see if your HRM gives you readings that make sense...once you know that it does or doesn't then you can move on from there
-
My HRM was all out of whack for a while so I would take my pulse every few minutes. I averaged out my HR at the end of my workout and used this site to see what my burn was http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx.....I found that my HRM, and calculations at this…

^^^^ I mean in the regards to calorie burn...4.5 is a brisk walk for me...but calorie burn wise it is a conditioning issue more than it is a height issue...I won't burn as much running or walking at 4.5mph as i will at 8mph...my mother might burn more at 4.5mph than I do at 8mph due to our level of training with that…
-
the point is...it has nothing to do with height...it has to do with speed, experience, whether you make effort to be a runner or use the treadmill as a cardio activity. I actively train to run as fast as my body will allow me to run. I do speed work, tempo runs, hill repeats...not for the weight loss benefits, while those…
-
I am only 5 ft tall and 4.5 is a brisk walk for me... MFP calculations are estimates. If you feel like you are running you are likely burning what I burn going faster when I feel like I am running...

sometimes we need to let our body decide...on low motivation days i make myself a deal that 10 mins is enough...a lot of times 10 mins leads to a big ol workout. Sometimes 10 mins is a struggle and I stop at the end. You have to let your body win this battle sometimes so you don't burn out. Tomorrow make it 12 mins if you…
