Good points. I'll ask her running coach for suggestions.

I'm going to try this as well. I had the same setting as you, "Don't track steps".

I thought I was going crazy last night when I got off the treadmill after an hour, hit almost 12,000 steps for the day, and only got a 100 calorie adjustment on MFP. Glad to hear that it's not just me! It's frustrating as all heck though. Glad I have at least a month of "correct" data to compare to so I know what my…

I believe the recommendation is to enter all food onto MFP, all activity/exercise onto Fitbit. So that would mean making a manual entry onto Fitbit for your recumbent bike (you can choose the time frame you were on as well) From what I understand (I just got my FB Charge HR last week) if you are using Runtastic and FB at…

I'm looking at this one too. My understanding is that it's ok for accidental splashes but you would need to take it off for showering/swimming, etc
-
ok so my understanding is that I would sync Runtastic or Road Bike to FitBit's site, and sync FitBit to MFP. Just clarifying.

Thanks so much for all the responses! ^_^

I don't log cleaning. Even if it was the huge, heavy duty cleaning with moving furniture, etc. I have a desk job so my setting is sedentary. I have counted shoveling snow because that IS a workout, especially the amounts we have gotten. I was outside yesterday for an hour in the snow, building a snowman with the kids and…

Personally, I work a desk job but I'm more active around the office than some others in my office, just by the nature of my job (requires me to walk to various areas of the office, where some people basically stay at their desk the entire day). I still put my settings as sedentary. On a typical week, I'm not going to log…

I'm going to second the Diva Cup!

I have the Songza app on my iPhone. The majority of the time, I find myself throwing on the Zumba station. Once in a while I'll throw on some 80's cardio workout music.

Thank you for this!!!! As I mentioned in my own posts, I'm a new runner, and am thrilled if I come in faster than a 15:00 pace. I have plans to complete three 5k's this year. Two of them are ones where you get covered in colored powder (Run or Dye and Color Me Rad) and one is a race that my company puts a team together…

As someone just said, we all have to start somewhere! The path I usually go is about 2.85 miles. The last time I went out, I just went a little farther and was enjoying it so I stayed out and took the long way home. Trust me... 4.5 miles is my LONG run!
-
Right now I'm not up to running the entire time I'm out (I have NEVER done that, but I just started last summer)... I do a warm walk and then do intervals of running/walking. I use Runtastic so it gives me my averages. My last run was a 14:28 average, and I did 4.41 miles that time. My goal for right now is to stay under a…

Thanks for the rec's! I'll be checking out the Tunebelt.. I went to two different stores last night and found absolutely nothing.

I'd rather not have to take it out of the otterbox every time I go out for a run.

Everyone's said the same thing I"m going to say. Do it at your own pace. If you feel that you aren't ready for the next week, repeat the previous week. I know I tried doing C25K last summer and I took forever, and never did finish it. I wasn't consistently getting out and doing the 3x/week and then I got frustrated with…

I thought it was odd, I guess I'm not the only one. I guess maybe they are not a distance runner then (LOL) because you are right, I would never see a half marathon listed as 21.08km, you see it as 13.1 miles. But the shorter distances are listed as 5k or 10k

My "go to" lunches for a quick pack on the way out the door with the kids so I can get to work: leftovers if I have them. If I don't have leftovers, them my "go to" is a portion of raw almonds, yogurt, and fruit. For breakfasts, I usually grab myself a bowl of cereal if I'm short on time. It doesn't take long to eat a bowl…

Congrats! Great job!
