I truly understand. I was probably in the best condition of my life, when I started getting a funky rash and was in horrific pain. The simple task of washing my hair would almost put me over the edge. I had a lot of trouble holding my arms up. Not to mention the fatigue. It's crazy, you are exhausted, but you can't sleep…

I agree, I am really trying to watch what I eat and exercise, and I think I have lost and gained back the same 1-5 pounds repeatedly.

You can enter the food in "my meals" name it, and then use that entry whenever you make the smoothie.

Very interesting topic for me. I'm 56, went through menopause at 38, insanely early. They tried hormone replacement drugs, but nothing seemed to work. I'm 5'6 and I have been struggling with my weight. I started MFP 2 years ago and got really lean and had muscle I was proud of. Okay cue the music...........don, don,…

Frozen fruit works really well too. If I catch a sale at the market. I bring it home, wash and dry it, cut it up and freeze it first on a cookie sheet flat. Then I pop it into freezer bags. When I'm ready to make a smoothie I pull some out and put in some greek fat free yogurt, flax seed, the fruit, wheat germ, and…

Chicago is already filled. Maybe I'll get to that next year. We are doing the Mudathlon though! Can't wait. Anyone that would like to join us in NW Indiana, please message me.

Thanks this is very interesting. A little hard to wrap your brain around at first, but I think I have been eating way too little. Especially since I want to start weight lifting. You spent a lot of time giving us this information. I am very grateful!

I suggest going to a reputable footwear store, like Fleet Feet. They will look at your feet and try and match the correct shoe for YOUR foot. Also my store allows you 90 days to try out the shoes. If you don't like them for ANY reason you can bring them back. That was a great selling point for me because until you start…

I am in awe and amazed, basically when I see anyone regardless of their age or size running. I have a back injury, and was told by my orthopedist.....no running. I didn't listen and being an avid walker, I thought I would try running. I started VERY slowly, and ended up really messing myself up. Went to another Dr. (he was…

I'm in! I'm going to try the 100 pushups and squats too. Not sure if I'll be able to walk!

Truly inspirational! Thank you so much for sharing. It is an ongoing journey, but it is always exciting to wonder what is up around the next bend. Thank you again!

sorry for your bad experience. This should be a supportive and encouraging journey. It's been a while since I was a brand new Mom, but I still remember how hard it can be. Please feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. We are all trying to get healthy, and that should be a good thing, not something to tear…

I am interested in her DVDs I have trouble with high impact workouts due to my knees. Does she do a lot of jumping?

I am almost 55 years old, an avid walker, struggling runner. I have only done 5K's most of them walking, with a small amount of running. I have neuropathy in my right foot so this really has been a challenge, that said best 5K 40:17

If I had to pick one I guess I would go with the South Beach. I'm not a fan of the Atkins. I had several friends/family members have some really bad medical issues after going on that one. I'm not a fan of any diet that it's ok to eat a pound of bacon and a block of cheese. But that's just me. And I agree with the poster…

Try and remember all the days that you did well, or were under. Sometimes I do work out a little more just because a lot of the time I feel every morsel of what I ate, and I don't feel that great. Kind of lethargic. Lots of water, and forgiveness, The sun is still going rise in the east, it's all okay!

I'll look for my book it had some great ones in it!
