  • I use Isoflex after working out with weights only... but for protein augmentation I use Gold Standard 100% Casein.
  • ... and whatever you do, dont fall into the Soy Protein trap.... soy is poisonous. The only forms of soy that aren't are basically the fermented ones (miso, etc....)
  • Unless you are using the protein as a recovery shake for weightlifting I strongly suggest you stay as far away from Whey, or Whey Isolate. There is very good reason for this, message me personally if you want to know why, but Im not going to get into the details on here. Trust me though ok, if you're using it to augment…
  • Whats more important - your health or possibly hurting your friends feelings??
  • have you added any strength training to your regimen?
  • CARBS ARE NOT BAD!!! Get this notion out of your head! You need Carbs, Fats and Protein as well as vitamins, minerals and water. Carbs are not bad, it's how we use them, when we eat them and what we eat them with that make all the difference. The atkins people have really made carbs look bad. Fact is, they are essential!!…
  • no kidding.... well it's no wonder you're going over in carbs... it's practically all you're putting into your system. You should really make a concious effort to balance your meals a little better. What I mean is to include protein with each meal. You clearly dont need help in the carb department other than you need to…
  • Protein is also an essential macronutrient that alot of people ignore because they dont understand that everyone needs it, not just body builders.
  • 3 litres is what worked for you, it wont necessarly work for someone else. Its really hard to project our numbers on other people seeing as we're all different. It's good that you found your magic water number though.
  • if you dont excercise you will still lose weight but you will be in crappy shape and probably not look as good as you want to. You will simply be losing body weight and muscle mass which isn't really healthy IMO.
  • oh and do yourself a favor, dont drink that crap that comes in a box in tea bags that's probably over a year old. It's gross and has very little if any health benefits. Most of the health benefits associated with drinking tea come from drinking real, loose tea that you would get at a proper tea shop. Following steeping…
  • Whats trolling about that post? It's a reply to the topic with an opinion.
  • Green tea is not high in Caffeine. If you are worried about Caffeine though try drinking Rooibos. it is like tea, comes in a variety of flavours and is naturally Caf. free. I agree though, artificial sweeteners are VERY VERY VERY VERY BAD AND UN NATURAL!! dont eat food that contain these things.... many "sugar free" foods…
  • Why do you think you would gain weight from protein? Your body needs protein every day even if you aren't building muscle.
  • I dont think 12 lbs is going to impact how many cals you burn in a workout very much.
  • first, why is this number a must? Second, lift some weights.
  • how low is low carb?? and why are you eating low carb (curious)?
  • the database is full of this info, just go to the food tab at the top and follow from there.
  • Can the coolwhip, it's horrible for you... full of fat-adding sugar and not to mention HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP... bad news. I would suggest picking which one you would rather have: The foods you want smothered in crap, or a healthy body. Because unfortunately the two cant co-exist!!
  • I changed mine about three days after I joined because I wanted it to be something different than it was.
  • That's just not true. You go and eat the next two weeks of your calories in Junk food and tell me how much fat you've lost at the end of it all ok.
  • Unfortunately you're going to have to grin and bear it and keep working really hard like the rest of us. I hate to say it but there is no way to target a certain area of your body with regards to fat loss. You need to look at your body fat as an overall percentage just as your body sees it. It will come off eventually if…
  • I agree, it's a fact that updating these stats on your heart rate monitor is very important. I bought one because the machines I use are not programmable so therefor I can only get as close as possible with regards to an accurate calorie count using my HRM. With that in mind, it's very close to an actual for the money…
  • Most likely Cortizone. Our pitbull had really bad dysplasia and we used to take him every two months for a shot and he was like a puppy again a few days after.
  • AMEN!! yeah it's fun to watch Orange County Choppers, but other than that like I said it's all bought and paid for... with enough money any idiot can have a televised opinion and people put so much faith in it. Not good!
  • on a positive note Im totally back to normal and I wish the same thing for you too... does it feel like your lower back has transformed into a 2 x 4?? no flexability etc...??
  • Yes I hear you... I had the exact same thing... no leg pain but intense back pain. Im not sure what it was that I did but I inflamed something down there and it hurt. I was almost in tears which takes alot... it hurt more than breaking a bone. All I can say is hang in there and lay down as much as possible (which I know is…
  • and... it's the trans fats, hydrogenated fatty oils and un-natural man made fats that are the enemy of your body. Natural fats like animal fat (not commercially raised however... more talking about wild game), fat from raw nuts, avocados, extra virgin olive oil, tropical oils like coconut oil and coconut fat... are all…
  • So true! And those omega 3's 6's and 9's also help you digest and absorb proteins to help burn body fat. "essential" amino acids... not just a catchy name lol.
