  • booya baby, my point of view exactly... to the neigh sayers: Pony up and eat clean... you will actually be healthier not just kinda look it.
  • probably the reason you see more people losing weight eating unclean (and yes of course it can be done) is because it's easier. I say bravo to either method but the people I really have a lot of respect for are the ones who eat clean because at the end of the day IT'S F'ING HARD NOT TO JUST STAY WITHIN YOUR CALORIES BUT…
  • I love lots of bad foods... the ones I no longer eat are not because I subscribe to a "diet", but because they're made of nothing real. While I do on rare occasions eat potato chips and things like that, for the most part I dont eat them any more... not because I think Ill get fat from them but because they're garbage…
  • I've never eaten my excercise calories and the pros can say what they want. I agree with the science behind eating the workout cals, however in my experience I've had WAY WAY WAY BIGGER success NOT eating those cals. As long as you dont take yourself into a huge defecit CONSISTANTLY then you will not trigger "starvation…
  • sounds like you should have just burned them like 90% of the population
  • depends what's in them but its usually in the liquor that is used to flavour them. Spirits can be up there in cals too. Martinis are generally sweet though so it's probably simple carbs making the cals high in yours.
  • you get what you pay for, thats a pretty low price for any item let alone a HRM. I wouldn't expect much from those just based on their price, not to mention the fact that they dont have chest straps either which really makes a huge difference. The problem with cal burn calculators is they are based on a formula and not…
  • probably too few to worry about tracking IMO
  • 2 or three egg omlette... I eat this almost every morning. I made a two egger today with vidalia onion and sweet red pepper with a little bit of marble cheese (about 1/8 cup). Here are the stats from that meal: Calories: 253 Carbs: 3 Fat: 17 Protein: 18 Iron: 8 Sodium: 255 BREAKFAST WIN for sure. If you need some carbs,…
  • the blood type diet is not a fad diet, there is actual merit to it. We all have different blood types with different requirements. There are some credible publications on the topic and some not so credible ones.
  • Lots of people eat lunchmeat. Before I started taking clean eating seriously I was also on this bandwagon. It's a personal choice though. Some do it and some dont. I choose not to eat lunchmeat because it's not natural and it's full of nitrates, sodium, soy extenders, trace chemicals from de-fatting, coloring, flavor…
  • My Presa, Jada, runs 5K with me every day and loves it!
  • sounds good but to make it even healthier why not eliminate the artificial sweetener and add a teaspoon of raw honey instead and use natural PB too.
  • boxed food = garbage, almost always
  • See, the tricky part is you're not really burning alot of fat when you're that high up in your heart rate. Apparently you'll burn the most amount of fat per workout if you are training between 50-70% of your max. I know where you're coming from though because my cardio training always has me around 90% max. Great workout,…
  • I know that a liquid glucosamine supplement will help you for sure. I've cured several joint problems with this stuff. The liquid form is the best (more easily absorbed etc). We use a product called synflex and it contains other natural supplements in it as well as the glucosamine. Things like shark cartilage.
  • As a sidenote, the cleanest foods to eat do not have a label if you catch my drift.
  • If it comes in a box theres a 99% chance it's not clean eating no matter weather the box says 100% whole wheat or whatever. Clean eating is just that, whole natural foods.
  • My problem is that the medical industry seems to be for sale just like everything else. I have to question why doctors are prescribing some of the drugs that they prescribe. Not to mention, as you put it, the nutritional health part of the training is very limited and tightly controlled.
  • be careful, lots of restaurants will use potato whitener on their lettuce to keep it looking green and fresh.
  • Definitely eating clean is of utmost importance to me. I've been taking Krill oil and I just switched to Mercola Whole food multivitamin supplement from the GNC Mega Men supplement I was taking. Whole foods No preservatives No Soy period No hydrogenated oils and fats Good fiberous carbs....
  • to the original post, you need a hrm if you want accurate cal counts from your strength training. There isn't a magic formula that will get close enough IMO. Every lift is different for each individual.
  • alot of people do "cardio with weights" so it's really just cardio with a bit of increased resistance. It's in no way shape or form strength training though and this is where people get confused.
  • Soy milk isn't healthy so I wouldn't go there, but milk would be good too. Not sure why they tote choc milk as a good post workout drink though.
  • The Muppet speaks again! ... you are unbelievably crass and ignorant and YOU NEED TO GET OVER YOURSELF.
  • Your doctor is a puppet to the Pharmaceutical industry.... dont take his advice... popping a pill isn't going to help you in the longrun. It may even lead to a dependancy on the pill. Doctors are so translucent to me its not even funny. Keep doing what you are doing and increase your workouts and water intake. Change up…
  • Not to mention, who wants to work that hard losing fat just to look all saggy when you're done. Working out will ensure you look the part as well as feel the part and it keeps your heart and lungs and other muscles strong.
  • I didnt say what she said was silly though did I?
  • Do it! Give up and eat the whole tub of ice cream and why not eat some chocolate cake too I hear it's really good for weightloss. See how silly that sounds. You should be happy you lost 2lbs. What were you expecting?
