Hey all! Just started reading the forums here. Love all the insights. Halfway through stage 1 - Just curious how much cardio are most of you mixing in with the lifting?

You can make fresh salsa - then turn some of it into guacamole. I use two large tomatoes, 1 red pepper, 1 small cucumber, a clove of garlic and 1 red onion, and some sprinkles of cilantro. Lastly add in lime and lemon juice and salt to taste. The take four avocados, and add in 1/4 cup of salsa per two avacados, and blend…

Last few times we've gone, I made a chicken sausage summer stew and froze it (made for good ice packs and was dinner a night or two in). We usually take a lot of Jerky and nuts. Trader Joes has some pretty healthy ones. Lots of veggies like zucchini, squash, eggplant etc are good if sprayed with some cooking spray and…

Had the problem since i was 14-15(28 now), it comes and goes now that I have gotten older and the activities i do. I have had all kinds of tests and they couldn't narrow it down to more than compression in the ulnar nerve canal in the elbow, and typically the only option is surgery. I chose to deal with it, bc at the time,…

It is always terrible whatever the age. I lost a close friend 15 yrs ago at the age of 13. he committed suicide. The anniversary was just this past week. Regardless of the situation you always have to remember the positive about the person, and their impact on your life.

I would suggest cooking down your own fruit, then you can control the amount of sugar in the preserve portion. I've had these before and there legit YUM!

Thanks everyone for your perspective. I really appreciate it.

you might want to consider a HRM and wear it when you lift. Until i got one and started using it for more than just Cardio exercises, I realized that i was buring a couple hundred extra calories when I did lift. It will depend on the number of reps/weight used.

Crock pots are awesome. If you bring lunch there great to make bigger meals and split the portions. Also depending on the kind you get you can set a time so it starts to cook a period of time before you get home, so you can have a hot meal just my prepping the night before. I don't use mine a ton, but ive found it great…

100% agree with this stuff - I swear by Aveda products. I use the whole Damage Remedy line, and the Shampure line and alternate during the week. Also about once a week i use head and shoulders to get rid of all the product residue. I have grown my hair out and donated it 3 times so far each about 14 inches worth and have…

Thanks for the tip. I didnt use it a ton before i stopped using for a few months, so i didnt think about washing it yet. Well give it a go this weekend.

The PF i used to go to Eliminated any dumbells over 60lbs same with the curl bars. The other free weight benches were limited. Plus it was crowded with people who have no gym etiquette or knew how to use the machines properly. Also no classes or 30 minute circuit room. I found another gym thats a local chain for the same…

Anyone with the FT7 ever had it work for like the first 10 minutes of the workout and just quit? I keep trying to use it on the treadmill, and it works for a short time, then it says check transmitter. So far - I've reset per the manual and changed both batteries. Thoughts?

Totally Agree. I have a march Birthday, so when i turned 16 to get my license my dad purposely took me out in the snow to teach me. The most frustrating part for me is when its really bad, i will drive slower, and the people who think there special speed by and u pass them in an accident 5 miles later. SMH...

Hi All, For those of you that have either hypo or hyper, what types of symptoms did you have? At one point when i was younger, i was put on medicine and the dr ended up taking me off bc at the time they couldnt manage whatever was wrong. I have avoided the dr for a while now, but lately have been feeling "off".

no idea on the weight gain. But consider a lotion either like Eucerin, or something that's more petroleum jelly based. They should give longer relief. Good Luck!

Totally the same way, I am also a habitual snooze button user, so my solution was to set the alarm at 5am instead of 530 when i actually want to be awake. I basically trick myself into thinking im getting 30 minutes more of sleep by using the snooze button to 530. Not the most efficient, but by the time i hit the snooze…

I am really excited for Friday - that is my normal weigh in day so I will def start then. I cant wait to give it another go. I started the shred in Feb, but work got crazy and leaving early and not getting home until late. Its best if you have hand weights, but you can use cans of soup or anything that you can hold in to…

Crazy as it sounds, what helped me deal is having a cup or two of decaf coffee(yes i know its not 100% decaf) for me the act of having the coffee helped me get past it. Good luck!

I used to get them when running on uneven ground and playing basketball. I used to stretch in a hot shower and use a towel to pull up your toes. And honestly i played sports all through high school and college and depending on how long you've had them, i would consider seeking out some x-rays/bone scan. I have had quite a…
