This is what I think as well. Do not give him the silent treatment. Call him out on what is really going on and how it has nothing to do with you and everything to do with him.

IMO you may be too hard on yourself. In your pictures you look awesome. Just maintain a healthy diet and make exercise, especially strength training a part of your routine and you will always look awesome and healthy and just how you are meant to look.

my gym has a women's workout room but it has a regular barbell that i use because nobody else is ever in there and I don't have to share. as far as foam bars....ehh don't see the point.

I just wanted to post on this forum....and see this^^^^ again.
-
Thank you for that. I think that sums it up.
-
I sent you a request. Welcome!

Having had 2 children, one extremely compliant and one extremely defiant, I have to agree that you were just lucky to get a mild mannered child. My son would eat whatever I gave him and always listened and did what he was told. My daughter however...same parents same parenting etc....kids are all different.
-
Amazing! Those little kids at the end are buff!
-
brainy burro, you have put a smile on my face

I feel your pain. I have struggled with the calorie and nutrition part of the journey so much! I know that my saving grace is exercise. I figure if I eat less than 1800 calories, I am eating at a defecit and if I add exercise to that then I am doing my body some good. I notice that I am a lot stronger and feel healthier…

mostly it's the pms that messes with my hormones....tom is a relief compared. and yes sometimes i just wanna sit down and cry about it, so i do. it's just a week, won't hurt to ease up for a week.

Freddie Got Fingered worst movie ever made in the history of cameras, or thoughts or dirt. The whole time thinking "What Tha F@#$?"

I ran 3.11 miles for the second time in my life today. I did it 30 seconds faster than the first time, but I think I didn't have enough fuel when I went out running. I got a little light headed. My first real 5K is this Saturday in Austin! I am so excited!
-
Congratulations!!! You should be very proud!
-
I agree with the speed problem. When I started worrying about speed, the joy went out of the run. I use an app called rundouble and within that app there is an option you can choose to train with distance instead of time. After week three you do walk/run intervals in distance. For example, run .25 mile then walk .25 mile…

I ran week 9 day 3 run today. I hit a PR of 47:45. I put that out there even though it is not near as fast as everyone else's because I know there are people that are slower like myself and I want them to know it is ok. The important thing is that you are doing this. My 5K is July 13th. So excited!
-
Well today was my graduation run! I did 3 miles in 47m45s! I have my first 5K run in a week and a half and I think I might hit my goal of under 45 minutes. If I don't, then that is ok, I know I will improve with time and practice. I feel great! I guess I will just keep going and do the next training.
-
Thank you so much!!

This post made me laugh because that is how I feel sometimes. I'll be in a rhythm running along, then I pass someone and become aware of myself and how I am dragging along like the hunchback of notre dame. LOL
-
You're awesome!
-
W8D3 done! I can't believe I graduate next week. It is still a struggle for most of my run and I just have to keep pushing myself. Tonight it was soooooo HOT!!!!!! Thought I would die. I still ran 15m29s/mile which is a second place PR for me, so there ya go. What I could have done if I hadn't felt like my blood was…
-
Good info, and congrats on two runs!! That would have bugged me too.
-
Way to go mrsmalcom!! I am about 2 weeks behind you! I didn't realize that the 5210K program was only 6 weeks. Yikes. I better keep training.
-
W8D2 Done! I took it a lot slower today due to the pains from w8d1 still lingering in my mind, 16m6s/mile. I really sped up at the end due to feeling great, but don't think I could uphold that speed through the whole 2.75 miles yet. My 5K is 4 weeks away. My PR is 14m22s/mile. That one was really hard, not sure how I did…
