There are lots of ways to get protein besides protein powder. Consider adding more rich sources of proteins in the form of whole foods into your diet. That said, the most common protein powders that would fit your qualifications are soy, rice, pea, or hemp protein. If it was me, i would be looking for a protein powder with…

Just some educational notes: - all allergies are to proteins. Other intolerances can be to sugars or other substances, but a true allergy is to a particular protein molecule. - it is not possible to be allergic to all proteins. If he was allergic to all proteins, he would be dead. (I know you didn't say that, but your…

Find out what brand of veggie burgers they use, and check the ingredients. If you have problems with white bread, and also with veggie burgers, it might be the gluten. Most veggie burgers are made with quite a bit of gluten to give them that hearty texture. There are a few brands around that don't use gluten or you can…

While at the desk, Fit Deck Office: http://fitdeck.com/fitness-bodyweight-only/office/ Outside of office hours, just start off slowly with whatever exercise you want to do. If you experience muscle aches, etc., that is fine, but if you find that you are developing an injury, see a PT for sure. Pilates can help develop your…

My heavy bleeding and cramps really improved when I started running. They say that gentle or moderate exercise helps cramps, but for me it is only *intense* exercise that keeps them away. If I had only known twenty years ago that taking up running would get me those three days a month (well, like you, shorter than a month)…

How about eating at TDEE and building muscle?
-
You missed the exercise. 1400 - 500 + 300 = 1200
-
. . . if you have nightmares about sleeping through your alarm or other circumstances making you miss your morning run! (I'm always so relieved to wake up and find out that I haven't missed it!)

With a commercial gluten-free bread, you won't get all whole grain. Because there is no gluten to make it "lighter", they use cornstarch or other starches to make it light. Otherwise it's way too dense and heavy. If you're lucky, the first grain will be a whole grain. Which is why the boys only get one loaf a week. LOL.

I was comparing two loaves of bread one day, a gluten free bread for my hubby and son. I had gotten them the "white" bread before, and noticed that they now also had a "multigrain" option, so I put them side by side to compare the ingredients and see what good stuff had been added to the multigrain loaf and see if it was…

Believe me, I did! Changes in clothing choices, using a lubricant, etc. I still get some chafing occasionally, but not nearly that bad.

And women don't generally have the option of running shirtless. It was quite a shock for me on my first 10K run to come home with bleeding nipples, chafed or bleeding bra band, shoulder straps, armpits, belly button, and panty line. Ouch. I could hardly move and quickly found out about second skin burn dressings. Though…

You get back from your long run on your day off and everyone else is still in bed.

What is you do something different on those two days? I run M-W-F-Sa, do strength training Tu-Th, and rest Su. If I am not up to much strength training, I might do mostly yoga or something else low impact. If on M I am still popped out from my Sa long run, then I will run slower or shorter and fill in with something else.…

Yes, it is possible. Many of those with celiac disease are asymptomatic. No digestive problems at all to complain of. But the gluten is still damaging their systems, and when your body cannot get enough of a particular nutrient or enough calories, then it conserves. I am grain free with other allergies. I still don't think…

Do you like running? Do you like running long or short, fast or slow? Do you like running on the treadmill or outside? It's completely okay to choose your own program and do what works for you. Maybe you like a program like C25K, maybe you like to just free run, or maybe you like to make a detailed plan. Work the way that…

- tofu scramble - bean hash - bean burrito - smoothie with tofu/beans/nut butter, etc. added - lentil soup - whatever you eat the rest of the day

One of the blogs I read suggests saying "nothing crunchy on the salad" to avoid any croutons, noodles, etc.

Have you tried buckwheat porridge? Either coarse-ground groats or buckwheat flakes - very nice substitute for oatmeal.

You can be grain free without being paleo or primal, too. I am vegetarian - currently vegan - and grain free, and allergic to some nuts and other goodies. Vegan raw food diets are mostly grain free, unless you are eating sprouted or fermented grains. (I am not a raw foodist.) We are so lucky to have such a wide variety of…

So fast to collect items - take a picture, forward an e-mail, clip a webpage. Easy to tag and search for items. When I do my weekly menu planning, I move the recipes I am going to use into my weekly menu notebook so they are easily accessible when I am ready to make them, and they don't get moved back into my main recipe…

The flours that I use for most of my baking are buckwheat and tapioca. I don't use much quinoa flour, because I find it tends to overpower baked goods. I don't use any cheese or other dairy. I do eat quinoa instead of rice a couple of times a week. Of course you can still react to it even though it is not a grain. I react…

The Canada food guide is pretty much a mirror image of the USDA food guide. Some slight differences in sizes of fruit servings and such. And the USDA food guide wasn't funded by the meat and dairy industry, right?

If two weeks apart, you may be seeing breakthrough bleeding at ovulation, rather than 2 periods. Do you alternate between heavy and light periods? Of course it could also be something like fibroids, in which case the sooner you can get it checked out, the better. My mom had very heavy bleeding with fibroids and ended up in…
