Find an activity that you enjoy, and do that. If you enjoy walking, great. Wii? Home DVD's? Whatever you like doing and will be able to keep doing.

I  my FitBit!

Tuesday we have pasta/potatoes Wednesday we have taco salad Friday we have breakfast for dinner The other days are filled in with curry, roasted vegetables, soups, salads, stir fries, and the occasional pizza or burger (which in my house are not fast foods - they have to be made from scratch due to allergies.) My diary is…

If you put baking soda in it, you are neutralizing the acid. The point of taking apple cider vinegar is to keep the stomach acidic, not alkaline.

Excellent! I just his my normal BMI in about January. Such a good feeling!

My husband used to have reflux all the time. Had to sleep propped up, downed antacids all the time. I can't remember the last time he took antacids now.

I plan my meals on Bigoven.com, which generates a grocery list that syncs to my iPhone. My diary is open if you want to see what I am making (I am vegetarian, grain-free, dairy free, with other allergies.)

A friend of mine who has lost a lot of weight posted on her blog the other day that the fat "protected" her emotionally, and that walking around without it now feels like walking around naked. I know others who have been sexually abused who got fat as a defence; if they weren't attractive, they wouldn't be attacked. It…

So you're netting 1300 calories on your high intensity days? I suspect you are eating below your BMR, which is going to slow down your metabolism and any weight loss. Either eat back your calories or set a higher daily goal.

I don't have any scientific basis for this, but I would feel like I wasn't getting a good enough workout if I wasn't experiencing some sore/stiff muscles after a workout. I'd pump it up, increase weights, or try something more challenging.

I would say calories too low, PMS, or not enough sleep. You know better than anyone. What is your instinct?
-
It sounds like you are not getting enough calories. What are you netting each day?
-
My diary is open if you want to take a look. Just look for the higher calorie items.

I'd like to "exorcise" some calories. LOL. Sorry, just hit my funny bone.

Nuts/nut butters or avocado.

You can definitely make something better at home!

Speaking of multi-grain breads, my hubby and son have been eating Glutino "Genius" bread lately. It is about twice the size of Udi's, and at our grocer, it is a couple of dollars cheaper. They say it is the best gluten-free bread they have tasted (I of course have not tasted it, being grain-free.) They have been eating the…

Doesn't increasing protein increase water loss?

<sigh> Blizzarding today. Heavy snowfall warning. Wearing my thermals and sweater and have snow pants on for the walk to the bus. Running tomorrow and don't need any of these tips!

I am lucky that my celiac disease is inherited; my dad is also gluten-free, with multiple allergies; I am grain-free, vegetarian, dairy-free with multiple allergies, and there are some other issues with dairy, soy, chocolate, pineapples, or picky eaters in the extended family. So everybody is aware of everyone else's…

I'm not a very social person and don't do big parties, so I would probably give it a buy and not worry about it. But I agree with your assessment; not so hard to pick up gluten-free items and free fruits and veggies if that is your only dietary constraint!

I'm grain free, vegetarian, and dairy free. Take a look at my diary, if you like.

Read ingredients! Boca burgers are full of gluten, as are most vegetarian meat analogs. Go with a portabella burger, Sol Cuisine, Sunshine Burger, or something homemade. Assume that any veg meats have gluten in them unless you know otherwise. Make sure your hash browns don't have wheat in them. Feel free to browse my diary.

If you're cooking all the food, it's easy. You make what you can eat and like to eat/make, and they can either eat it or make something for themselves. Don't let yourself be pushed around. I assume they are both perfectly capable of making themselves a sandwich or a bowl of cereal.

tofu scrambles, seeds and seed butters instead of nuts, soybutter, lentil or bean dishes (burgers, chili, curries, soup, etc.) A smoothie with protein booster, tofu, or white beans. Maybe just leftovers from the day before. Breakfast doesn't have to be breakfast dishes. Pam

You're my twin! I am 5'3", and 1200-1400 stalled my weight loss as well, in about the same place, and I increased to 1700 plus exercise, then to 2100 including exercise (which is about the same thing, but I have found it to be planning to eat approximately the same number of calories a day.) I am trying to be more strict…

I don't run barefoot. But I have heard others suggest starting running slowly in grass. I would be scared to do it on the treadmill, with an artificial pace and me still trying to figure out how to adjust my form. And the advice I have heard from the experts is to start with just 30 seconds at a time, and gradually build…

Lots of veggies!

The same thing my mom told me. The teen years are not the best time of your life. People who remember it that way have faulty memories. Things will get better. I tell it to all the teens I deal with.
