Great motivation! Sometimes we forget the temporary inconvenience pays off overall.

Thank you! I am not trying to limit my goal to 30 days, but that was my first goal. maybe that was a little ambitious though. I think I'm going to reset it to five days and celebrate small victories more often. I haven't gotten a chance to read wining yet, but that's my next stop. Thank you for the encouraging words. It…

Its interesting to see the difference in body language and confidence as well. You'll see people with kinda bland hair or no makeup or covering up their belly in the before pictures, then you see a cute hair color or got rid of the glasses or something indicating more than just weight loss. Thats where the real success is:…

My five year old nephew was amazed that the number 110 even exists so I asked him "what do you think there could be 110 of?" and his answer was "mosquitoes. then they could all get on you and you could be skinny." Kinda stung a little bit, but still kinda funny because I secretly wish for that too lol.

Calories are not everything. Where they come from is important. Your calories should come mostly from protein and fiber. Some fat, but only about 30%. I feel like I would be safe in assuming that the chili dog had more fat calories than the subway (depending on what "the usual" is)

The constantly reminding you that if you left it would destroy him is a red flag if I ever saw one! Thats a dangerous dynamic to have with someone and its not fair to you that the rest of your life is obligated to him because of his insecurities. I hate to say it but his decisions are his own and if something bad happens…

First thing you should do is start tracking. Track everything that passes through your lips. A taste, a sip, a sample. EVERYTHING. Then you will be able to identify where your extra calories are coming from. Calories come from energy sources in your food, namely protein, fat and carbs. To be balanced, MFP suggests 55%…

Having your heart rate up but not too fast will burn more fat than having your heart rate really high. Your calorie burn should go up when you are moving faster, but you are not necessarily burning body fat. That's why if you look at the treadmill the fat burn hr is way lower than the cardio hr. There is a reason for it,…

The first week is the hardest because you have to change your old habits, but as long as you stick with it, you learn different foods and you find you can survive and be happy too, I promise you it gets easier as long as you stay with it. Don;t get discouraged because then you will just stay the way you are and if you are…

I take the calorie counter at face value. It's not always going to be 100% all of the time but I figure if it overestimates here, it underestimates somewhere else. Its not really about the individual calories here and there. Its just a tool to gauge yourself and put some reigns on unhealthy habits. You take it for what its…

Your body needs calories to perform basic functions as well as intentional exercise.. Just because you don't realize you are burning calories, your body is always working. You still need to eat enough to sustain your body's natural functions. When you do hard exercise, your body burns your nutrients faster than just day to…
