Nay. Don't skip the meal. If I really want ice cream than I have some but make sure I eat well the rest of the day. You can't deprive yourself of the things you want you just have to eat in moderation.

Remarkable!! Thank you for sharing your journey and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Work -Taxes, bike riding outside finally, and cleaning. It is supposed to be 54 degrees today and 30 degrees on Monday so I'm taking advantage of the break in the weather.

where do you get unflavored protein? I don't like the vanilla or chocolate flavor.

1 tip = EXERCISE 2= Eat healthy...no soda, junk food or desserts. OK maybe once in a great while but it should be a treat not daily occurrence.

Take it easy, maybe start by walking rather than something that is going to make your back worse. Good Luck!!

^^^ agreed. You have to realize that you are worth the praise for your hard work. Losing weight is hard work and if you lost a pound or 10 pounds it is a great feat. Embrace your accomplishments. I can't tell you how to do that, wish I could, but I can tell you that you matter and what you are doing for yourself matters.…

Welcome back. I did the same thing; lost weight on MFP then stop using and gain some back. I realized this is a life commitment for me. Good Luck!! I agree friends are a must so you don't feel like you are the only one logging in everything you eat.

What an amazing story and thank you for sharing. You are a remarkable person and your transformation is stunning. Keep up the work!!!

I am 50. When i first started I needed to lose 30 pounds and now I have about 12 pounds let. I love MFP and I log in everyday. My eating, work out and food habits have changed so much sine I have been on here. It is not always easy but I know I am a MFP "lifer" because it works.

That is good to know, thanks.

Honey and agave. I personally never use the artificial sugars (AS) nor will I eat anything that has AS added to it. (like the Greek yogurts with AS in them). They aren't good for you and I hate the after taste. I use honey or agave.

If you are exercising you should be eating back your burn calories otherwise your body will not perform how it should. Your body needs fuel. You will lose weight; slow and steady is the best way especially if you want to keep it off. Good Luck

Way to GO! you look great!

Healthy version of Chinese is steamed vegetables, sauce on the side or no sauce, brown rice and 1 fortune cookie. Hope your fortune is a good one.

"make sure I have good form while I'm working out, my knees don't ever go over my toes" It sounds like you have good form so I'd get it checked out. You need your knees. In the mean time I would ice (20 mins on/20 mins off) and elevate them. Good Luck.

I do it because it makes me feel so good when I am done. There are days where I don't want to go and come up with a million excuses (too tired, it's too late, etc...) but at the end of the day I know what I have to do to lose weight, be fit and feel good about my body. I NEVER regret working out but I ALWAYS regret not.…

Do it!! You'll love it. Just make sure your bike is adjusted correctly and if you stand up don't let your knees go over your toes. It is a great class for all levels since you can go at your own pace, adjust the tension to what you like and if you don't want to stand then you don't have to. Bring water and a towel because…

That sounds great. I will definitely try this dish.

I have the Polar FT4 and it works well. I run it under water first and secure it tight enough that it would slide up/down. I have had to adjust it higher since it has moved while I'm running.

Homemade Protein Bars | No-Bake Protein Oat Bars INGREDIENTS: From Pinterest: I haven't tried this yet, but will soon. 2 cups dry whole grain oatmeal 4 scoops vanilla whey protein powder ½ cup natural peanut butter 1/3 cup of water or milk DIRECTIONS: This protein bar recipe is extremely simple and doesn't even require…

The first thing I noticed was your sodium intake is way too high. I would increase your protein and lower your sodium. The biggest change you could start with is try not to eat processed foods, (frozen, canned, already prepared food) there is just too much sodium. If you are going to buy processed foods there is a good,…

My calorie allowance is also 1200 per day and I work out 6 days a week. I always eat back most of the calories I burn off from exercise. If I didn't, I wouldn't have the energy to work out. Your body needs the fuel especially when you do weight training. I use a heart monitor when I work out to get a better indication of…

I share my diary only with friends on MFP but I never did until I was asked to do so. I'm not sure what the benefit is and I don't really have time to look at other friends diary. I log in for me. It still amazes the calorie count on food and the only way to make sure I don't eat more than my 1200 calories is by logging in…

Good job on getting your blood work done and taking it seriously. Don't stress yourself out too much, just start making changes that will lower your numbers. Be sure to exercise and it was recommended to me to use a HRM (heart rate monitor) to ensure I was getting the most out of my workout. I would work on lower your…

You don't need it. There are so many healthier choices that taste better. Don't get me wrong french fries are good but not worth the calories. If you really want it once in awhile, then enjoy but make sure you will really enjoy it especially when you have to log it in.
