Got my results from last week's semi-annual Navy Physical Fitness Assessment, and for the first time in my career, I scored a perfect 300, maxing out all events. That feels REALLY good.

You must've been an honor grad. Impressive! :)

Undergrad, Prelaw. Changed mind after graduation, joined Navy. Halfway through Navy career, picked up Master of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Reading specialty. Now two years away from end of Navy career, and working on Doctorate in Educational Leadership.

I employ three different pairs depending on distance and speed intended, and I love them ALL. Saucony Kinvara for treadmill work, speed/track workouts, and 5k racing. Asics Gel Noosa Tri for 10k-20k racing Saucony Cortana for half marathon and longer racing, and for regular training runs.

Skip the surgery. You look great.

Because I have a hot wife and I want to make her drool when I walk in the room. 1,000,000% honest answer.

Ridiculous. I've run over 100 races just in the past three years, and the women whom I see often at races, who put in just as many training miles as I do, look fantastic. The more elite female runners like Kara Goucher and Shalane Flanagan are wonderful combinations of fitness and beauty. This "author" is an idiot.

Cute doesn't work for dudes. Not once we're past toddler stage....so I guess I'd say I would like to be considered sexy.

Noooooooo!!!!

Guess not so many critics around now who still think Reagan's idea for a missile defense network was silly, huh?

Too much light! I can't see you! :(

I've run three fulls, used Higdon twice. First time I didn't stick to the training program, and I limped across the finish in 4:19:20, walked most of the final 7 miles. The following year I stuck to the program and finished in 3:48:00 (same course), then 7 weeks later ran a 3:45:58. Higdon is a good program....just stick…

Well, I'm partial to the very beautifully done lingerie shots, for obvious reasons.....but I do really like the second pic on the top row. You have that partially-shy, I-know-a-secret look in it.

Low-carb diets are known for yielding fast weight loss. Shedding up to 15 pounds in two weeks on Atkins, for example, isn't out of the ordinary. However, much of what's initially lost on low-carb diets is water, not fat, because these diets have what's known as a diuretic effect. That's true of many other diets, too, and…

Went with my wife at our new gym. Loved it. I have spent a lot of time in South America and learned many of the dances in clubs there, but much different in a fitness setting. Good burn, and lots of fun! I was a bit unsure at first, especially since I was the only dude in a room full of women, but that turned out to be…

Now THIS is an actual useful post. Thanks guys!

Yeah, this thread has now devolved into snarky crap. I was actually interested in reading people's answers, since I was pretty sure I am not the only runner around who is still working on quitting smoking. The original poster, in asking for certain types of people to respond, was trying to avoid all the captain obvious…

I don't know of any smoker who has ever claimed that it is a healthy habit. I am fully aware of the health problems caused by smoking, which is why I have worked as hard as I have to decrease my dependence on it and then quit. None of us who smoke think we are doing a good thing for our body--the question was by the…

I run 25-35 miles per week in addition to once-a-week spinning, yoga, and zumba. 12% body fat, cholesterol, blood pressure, all well within the "healthy" range for a nearly 40-year-old man. Completed my second marathon several weeks ago with a 3:48:00 finish time. I have smoked for 17 years. I am down to about 4 packs a…

Same here--anyone is free to add me. I have been successful in my goals and I love to encourage others.

Absolutely! But it's much more fun if you run in front of me...

Any kind you're looking for....

Last one on the top row. Love redheads!

Based on the roller skates and cute smile alone......whatever she'd go for!

Forget health reasons......I just want to look good naked.

Used to be the same way, and for me it was the realization that I had been too impatient. This is a life-long journey to do it right. So be patient and take off the weight gradually, while you develop new habits as far as working out and adjusting your diet. When those become habit, you will soon find yourself at your goal…
