I agree with just making healthy choices at this point. Your body is also dealing with just having a baby, so you still got hormonal changes and a newborn, so don't drop your cals too low. Protein will help keep you fuller longer. Congrats!

Congrats! This is definitely an exciting time! You can change your settings to maintenance instead of lose which will give you how many calories you should eat. I'd suggest starting out at maintenance first. Definitely consult a Dr, but your maintenance will be close to 2,000. Good luck! :)

Life happens, and children are important! You can do it! :)

There's a recent tab, and most used tab to help you as you contiune for less searching and less tedious. I log my ketchup and mayo all the time.

I think the previous poster suggested some good things

Love!! ^^^^ I'm going to a bridal shower this weekend, it's not even my shower, I'm sure there will be cake, and I will be having it.

If people are already eating the exercise calories back, why workout for an hour for weightloss? Your already eating a deficit before working out.

I'm more of a night person than a day person. It's a chore to get up in the mornings (now if it was like, say I just got up at 10:30am, then I probably would). So my workouts are in the afternoons during naptime for my toddler or after he goes to bed. Do what works for you! :)

For 30 day shred, I've heard more than once but it's it level 3 when you really see change. Take pics of yourself! And measuring isn't hard, when I started I did a google search of where to measure and just stayed consistent. Most don't lose a lot of weight, just usually lose inches. But that's better in the long run! :)

I've never exercised with shoes at home. I naturally hate wearing footwear and socks in general lol

You look amazing and strong! Congrats on a better you! It doesn't matter if you had to gain weight to be healthy, fitness is on all levels, wether needing to gain or lose.

Try tea if your not much of a coffee drinker. :) Edit to add: anymore. Lol

I agree with the idea of moderation on bread. Have one slice instead of two. For my toast I use whole wheat English muffins, lower in calories. But where I am there aren't millions and millions of bread choices (or they are hard to get). If I want a sandwich, normally its one piece of bread cut in half for a half sandwich…

There are the exceptions to the rule, and you are one of them. You seem to have a lot of dedication, keep going! :) Your an inspiration.

Sorry I'm probably going to offend but if you're hubby dr told me to start skipping meals I'd find another dr. I hope this is something he is not going to communicate to his patients. As for MFP, I found my cals set too low. They wanted me to bump down in the 1300's after losing 25+ pounds on 1500+ a day. I kept it the…

Fruit juices, regular soda, diet soda, etc all can do this. I think the article though is a very extreme case. And it's true about waiting to brush your teeth after consuming those things as it will help cause erosion. I can't link anything from my tablet, but my hubby is always looking up stuff on teeth health...and I also…

I agree on getting a food scale, best thing ever. I'm 5'4, eat 1500 calories a day and eat back most of my exercise calories. I'm losing about 5 pounds a month (started at 200 in Jan). I weighed in at 169.6 this am :) As long as it fits my calories I eat it (sometimes I do go over with a having Chinese food or something).…

As some have said, fit it into your life. Do you need to workout 5-6 days a week? No. I workout 3 times a week Mon, Wed, and Friday afternoons during my toddlers nap time. It's an appointment. I find for me if sometimes I can switch the days up, sometimes I can't because I get lazy. I'm a bit of a routine person. Now that…

Congrats!! Too bad MFP doesn't even say that!

I was a regular every 2nd day person for the longest time. For me, it's what I'm eating. The more junk, the longer it takes. If I go awhile without eating a few almonds a day I find that affects me. Nuts, berries, apples and water are things to at least help (I've read this on several websites, sorry I can't link). I'm…

Hi ladies! I'm 28, Mom of a two year old and currently a stay at home Mom. I started my journey in Janurary to be really serious to lose weight. I've lost almost 30 pounds, starting out at 200 pounds in Janurary. I'm 5'4. I workout 3 times a week. First it was 30 Day Shred and zumba for wii, now it's Ripped in 30 and zumba…

Congrats!!!! That's awesome!

I personally would do the shred and then work into ripped in 30...I found 30DS prepared me for Ripped in 30.
-
I started out at 200 pounds in Janurary. I've been consistently eating 1550 cals (and over that sometimes with treat meals like Chinese food). I eat back most of my exercise calories and I workout 3 days a week. I've lost 25+ pounds. So, don't be afraid to eat more, it will be good for you! :)
-
Congrats! It's a great feeling! And 6 pounds is a great accomplishment!
-
McD's fries all the way!

I definitely don't snore like I used to since I've started losing weight (down 25 pounds). I don't have full confirmation that I've stopped completely only because hubby works overnights. But he told me there's definitely a difference. And I don't run lol

While you can't spit reduce, weight lifting can help tone and strengthen. Exercises like 30 day shred do help lose inches around the middle (do a search...there's tons of before and afters here).
