  • Hi! Active user! I have lost about 50 pounds and been eating clean for about 3 years now. I have type 2 diabetes that I have put into remission and am a big advocate of self love, healing the body and improving the body. I still have goals to accomplish, so join me on my journey. Please add me!
  • When my s/o and I were both working and in this position, we hired a chef and gave them very specific guidelines and recipes to follow. It doesn't have to be an expensive chef, you can look to hire someone from college or craigslist or the likes. Just so long as they can follow a recipe.
  • Lupini beans, low carb, high protein. Sprouted beans are also processed by the body as a vegetable and not a carb and have high protein. Hemp and pea protein powders can be a good source as well. I avoid soy due to the negative risks associated with it.
  • In addition to all the great suggestions, I would add: find some body positivity support groups and learn to love yourself at your current weight. You can still have the goal of working towards a healthier body, but learning to love yourself right where you are, being proud of yourself and having the right headspace can…
  • Could you have sleep apnea? That makes you tired all the time.
  • Add me! Pansexual in a committed relationship, looking to lose this weight!
  • Looking to have active comments and support on my feed. Willing to do the same in return, please add!

  • Just eat the taco meat on rommaine lettuce and add extra sauteed onions, bell peppers and fresh tomato, cilantro and green onions. Add some avocado on top. Healthy and low carb.
  • Congratulations and thanks for the inspiration!
  • Forgive yourself and others, take small baby steps...and cauliflower is amazing...keep trying.
  • I didn't start to lose weight and maintain it until I admitted to myself emotionally...for real..that I was fat. The next step was to look at that fat and love it, every roll, every stretch mark and every bump of cellulite. I had to appreciate my lumpy thighs, sagging breasts and double chin and honestly look at myself and…
  • Being "not normal" is great. Think about it..most people don't track their weight and health issues, which means they probably don't advocate for themselves in this area either. Taking care of yourself is priority number 1 and in this regard, you're doing a great job! So keep on being not normal....why would you want to be…
  • I agree, couple's counseling - sounds like insecurity and codependency issues. Best of luck!
  • My suggestion is to aim for the source, your emotions. Pick up a book and begin learning what's going on inside of you that you're hiding from. A book by Susan Jeffers called "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" is a great beginning point. You may also want to consider talking to a therapist who knows how to heal. PM if you're…
  • I believe our bodies do a wonderful job of telling us what we need, if we listen to it. Take heed to your instincts and follow what works best for you. It's okay to trust yourself.

  • I love almond milk, original or vanilla flavored, either is great to me. I usually get the Blue Diamond Brand, but Silk is good too. I don't use regular milk unless it's a recipe that really seems to need it or special occasions. Why? Dairy = body inflammation. Sigh, if only I could give up my beloved sour cream...I put…
  • Sitting and watching the butterflies at the butterfly observatory.
  • Just relax. Give yourself a break, treat yourself to something you enjoy...a nice long bath, a long look up into the stars or anything that brings you peace and comfort. Remember, this is a journey that takes baby steps and lots of self love. It takes years to learn unhealthy eating habits and all that surrounds…
  • I incorporate Paleo philosophy into my overall health plan. Pure Paleo would be an amazing goal...but just remember BABY STEPS. Eat that potato.
  • I'm half African-American and when I get really angry, I bobble my head back and forth and yell.
  • Turbulence on airplanes. Gathering and eating dinner at a table with strangers/acquaintances (I prefer to feel comfortable with the folks I dine with, if I we aren't friends friends (vs. acquaintances) I am WAY to nervous and get claustrophobic. • Because tonight I will do a little more work on creating the perfect lounge for reading, philosophizing, drinking tea and re-energizing my introvert energy bubble. It's going to have a "Serenity" from Firefly feel to the room, (i.e. in the end, it should feel like I am hanging out on a spacecraft like Serenity.) It will be…
  • I have a Welsh Corgi named Ein (Cowboy Beebop)
  • I started out with a goal of 10 wall push-ups. I would do as many as I could when I went on bathroom break at work. Eventually, I could do 30 fairly easily. I moved onto push-ups on the ground with my knees on the ground (modified push-ups) and went from a whopping 1 to being able to do 3 sets of 15. Took me about 2…
  • Check this site out marksdailyapple.com it really helped me get a grasp on the concepts people are talking about (BMR, eating below the TDEE, eating more, eating protein and healthy foods.)
  • OP, she has some issues with feeling secure. Everyone has issues. If you like her and can see yourself with her sometime in the future, then be nice to her. Take a deep breath and remind her that you do like her and that you do trust her. At some point, you may want to ask her what you can do in that specific situation to…
