Wonderful job, you can really see the difference!

Erghem, haters. I really like the infographic. To me, it's showing that a diet rich in carbs (and especially highly-processed/refined ones) can have a very negative impact on your health and potentially your waistline. The keyword being RICH. Carbs have their place, especially complex ones. I did not get the impression the…

Ever really get tired of listening to humanity's bull-crap? I do. My AV is from an anime called "Ghost in the Shell" and is called "The Laughing Man." The quote says: "I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes." Also, the phrase is an excerpt from The Catcher in the Rye, by Salinger. In the book…

I've heard the last 20 pounds are the hardest to lose and a good goal is to aim for losing 0.5 pounds per month at that goal. You lose the 2 pounds a week generally when you are starting from a much higher weight. The scale sucks, it's one of the last things to "show a result" and can be an incredibly inaccurate way of…

His comment is the type of rare thing that would elicit a slap from me.

Well, if it were me - I would do one of two things. First, I'd either choose one of the options below (may or may not eat the appetizer as well) Appetizer: Mushrooms Ripieno Eggplant Parmigiana - ask them not to bread the eggplant and skip the pasta, ask instead for a side of veggies or Eggplant Vegetale Red Snapper…

Thank you everyone, I am overjoyed with the responses. You may receive a friend request or message from me. I will be checking into all the shared resources and diaries and am willing to do the same!

PC Gamer - currently playing Tera, I play, build and work in Second Life, finishing Mass Effect 3 is on the list and I am systematically going through the Nancy Drew games just for the sake of knowing "who dun it".

Bump, someone on here follows the Primal Bluerpint, in fact, I know many people do. Don't be shy!

Idk...but this is why I bought a heart rate monitor.

Honestly, I would give it time to heal and just know that once it's better - you can do more. Risking re-injury or extending the pain isn't going to help you any. Perhaps you can pamper your self with a long hot soak on the tub. Make sure you are doing everything you can to improve your recovery rate. If you are willing to…

Sounds like you are doing a lot. Do you know what your body fat percentage is? I believe women have to be under 20% for their muscles (including in their abs) to shine through. Maybe you need to decrease body fat and continue focusing on building those muscles? I've heard that some oils and moisturizers (like coconut oil)…

I agree with trelm, at least for now, keep cardio and cross fit separate and just enjoy the fact that you are exercising and being active. On crossfit days, when you are doing strength, try to consume some protein within 30 minutes post-workout. I usually do this in the form of protein shakes because its not easy to eat…

I don't have an answer, other than to speak to an expert in that field, since I do not have COPD myself. You can do some extensive searching via Google to see what others with COPD have to say, join some COPD forums and ask for others experiences there. I guess the main thing here, is to keep trying and try not to let the…

My suggestion would be to purchase a heart rate monitor.

I use it, it's a healthy fat. I also do not restrict my calories to a low-calorie plan. I eat at least my BMR per day, generally shoot for a little over especially if I have exercised....and I love me some good fats!

Grats to everyone for sticking through the challenge! I lost a total of 4.7 pounds! I'm sticking at this weight, but my inches are continuing to melt away. I've even gone down a pants size and can fit into my dresses again. I am very pleased with the results and the extra accountability and community gained from joining…

Great jorb!

So far, I have deleted one person and it was because their choice of the amount of exercising and lack of calories in was starting to cause ME anxiety. I casually mentioned their stats looked a little low several times and after no response, I decided it was in MY best interest to remove that type of activity from my news…

It's intimidating, I agree. What I did : Joined a gym that has less "hard and sexy" bodies and has more people like me - those that are overweight, obese, some lean and fit and even plenty of older folks. Then, I asked for a trainer to show me around the cables and free weights section. Simple as that. Maybe if your gym is…

http://scoobysworkshop.com/accurate-calorie-calculator/ Find your BMR and TDEE and eat slightly above your BMR, but below your TDEE. Do cardio and strength training. Measure your body by body fat percentage, inches lost on different parts of your body (bicep, calf, stomach, breasts, heips, neck, thigh, etc.) congratulate…

I guess if you had to title the way I eat it's Primal...with moderate exceptions. I also eat between my BMR and TDEE and adjust this number for every 5 pounds I lose. I'm losing weight, inches, and tons of NSV's.

Halleeon raises 10 glasses and clinks them together with her Gemini sister.

Bipolar Gemini - yep, FOUR of me in one.

Grats to everyone, we are doing so well! My cold is almost over and TOM is gone...just waiting for the water weight to go down. I gained 6 pounds of water, ugh. Anyway, it's gone back down and I got my wish to be able to maintain thru the week...I have a feeling I'm going to drop a pound or two by this weekend.
-
Update: binge avoided! Still sick, but I had my "angst" moment and felt ravenous...ate a little more protein and dealt with the emotions another way. Yay me!
-
When I reach my UGW, I'm going to take a LONG flight (airplane rides totally suck at this weight) to someplace beautiful, far away and warm and lounge around a beach in my bikini.
-
Way to go, made me tear up a little. :)
-
Perhaps you should run a challenge? You seem very encouraging and consistent ;) I hope to maintain this week and lose some inches. I have a nasty cold, so I will be resting and counting my micro/macro via MFP. Probably minimal to no exercise. If I lose some, that's awesome. If not, then I will pledge to treat myself with…

Interesting post, you did a great job on this. Love the names! Hmmm....I lso seem to recall another recent pop tart post touting that they are loaded with ground up pig parts (gelatin.) Pop tarts must be highly talked about in fitness arenas to see two posts in one week.
