  • I have a Computrainer which I really like but it is way over your budget, they are closer to $2,000 then $200 and i wouldn't recommend something like it unless your indoor training got pretty serious. But what you should look into is a tire for when you are on your trainer. Trainer tires are a special compound that is…
  • Time to get back in the saddle. Late night 30 min. ride on the rollers for 9.1 mile, but in the saddle none the less. Also took a minute to update the list. Check to see if your mileage is right, copy, paste and update as you go. The Flem 28 nautiluver 4.4 Chenoachem 5 wicci Eaglemonster 129.38 rtjonespe 87.5 cathmack 75…
  • I'm on a bus trip with 56 8th graders. So I rode an exercise bike in the hotel tonight. Not really the same thing I know, but I got 9.7 miles. The Flem 28 nautiluver 4.4 Chenoachem 5 wicci Eaglemonster 117.70 mi rtjonespe 78.4 cathmack 75 kayemme 86
  • eaglemoster: I can follow your link to see your rides. I think it pretty fun to see where someone else is riding. Its more fun because, I never been to the UK.
  • Sorry to hear about your knee injury. Make sure your bike fits right before you get back on the bike. You want to make sure the bike isn't causing it. I got a late start in riding tonight, but still managed to get 11 miles in. The Flem nautiluver 4.4 Chenoachem 0 wicci Eaglemonster 97.31 rtjonespe 68.7 cathmack 75
  • kayemme: I'm not the guy that set this up but I would say, log the miles you do in addition to your commute. The idea behind the challenge is to get people out and riding. So this would be encouraging you to do more than just your commute. cathmack: I think this is a pretty loose group so I took the time to add your…
  • Eaglemonster: Thanks for starting the string for everybody to update. I wish I had thought of that. I liked your post with a link to your workout. I really thought it was cool to see where you had ridden.
  • Got a ride in after dark. It is quite peaceful then, but I almost ran over a skunk and a number of rabbits. I rode for 59 minutes 15.5 miles. Because of travel for work and swim meets for the kids, the next chance to ride will be Saturday evening. The Flem nautiluver 4.4 Chenoachem wicci Eaglemonster 44.9 rtjonespe 32.2
  • Day Two - 8.7 miles Total 16.7 miles I'm on my way. Is anyone else, doing this challege?
  • Day One - 8 miles on rollers in the garage. I know this doesn't count but I also did my 1st ever cyclocross yesterday. They had a beginner race that was only one lap. I beat the 9-year old bike less than a bike length. Great fun, very hard work.
  • I'm in. I need help to get into a regular schedule.
  • Be careful not to over do your exercise. I assume you haven't been exercising prior to this. So to go very hard in the beginning can lead to injuries and worse, burnout. Take it slow, but keep it going. You didn't become overweight over night and you can't reverse overnight either. You can do this and this is a great place…
