I started with 1200 calories.....then had to move to 1400 because I was not doing anything at 1200. I am losing slowly which is fine for me and at times eat some of my exercise back......this way I don't deprive myself of anything......if I know I am going to have DQ one night after supper then I exercise a little more…

Don't be frustrated...........and did miss something............you stated you lost .5 (right, that is 1/2 lb or did you lose 5 lbs) either way it doesn't matter a lose is a lose.............men lose faster than us.............that is our curse..............lol Congrats to you BOTH and lots of luck.............

I actually have 3 scales in my house...........all digital, but I weigh myself on the one in my bathroom (jenny craig)...............which ever one makes you comfortable that is the one you should use............

I use a HRM Polar FT4..........love it and you can look them up on line..........bought mine from HeartRate.com also Amazon has them and I believe they run around 60.00.........not sure of the price they run sales all the time.........good luck

I have FT4 and love it..............I am 56 weigh 185 and I burn anywhere from 150 to 260..............I guess it depends on how much energy you put forward I don't know..........I know when I am at the point I can't speak then I am at my highest and I keep the HR at the max............

Of course a HRM is the best way to go, however I would use the machines at the gym for calories burned......I have found MFP to either be more or less on some things. The machines at the gym ask for your current weight so that number should be more accurate...good luck to you
