  • lostwordsinthechamber.blogspot.com/ Whether you support it or not, read this blog. It's updated daily. These are the last words from inmates on death row before they're executed. It's incredibly interesting, I promise.

  • Good job for identifying it as toxic behavior. Hang out with your mom solo for Mother's Day. Avoid your sister. It seems like the two of them get into mob mentality when they're together and beat up on you. It's your choice to see it for what it is and to avoid it getting caught in the trap of reactivity/suffering. Stay…

  • Would you be able to afford a simple heart rate monitor? I purchased one for $24 online from Best Buy. It tells me the duration of the workout and my average heart rate. With that information, I'm able to input into a formula to figure out my calories burned.
  • Just finished day 10!! Still chuggin' along!!

  • THAT'S MY FRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Nicely done! Definite progress. :)
  • Right. If you actually watch the talk, that's what she's trying to say. We've become so disconnected to the effort it actually requires to make a fresh loaf of bread and the COST of real ingredients for bread. What she's trying to say is that this bastardized wheat that's going into Wonderbread kind of loaves today is not…
  • Great post. I actually watched a TED Talk last night about bread and how it's been improperly demonized recently. We're talking about a staple in the human diet for centuries --- but, suddenly, we all think it's awful for us? I think, to some degree, white varieties of rice have fallen victim to the same conceptions.…
  • Also cannot see the photo, but congratulations on sticking with it!
  • Still going! I did day 9 of level 1 last night. I will do day 10 tomorrow night. Looking forward to starting level 2 on Friday! Friday night I'll do yin yoga & power flow yoga on Saturday morning. I've been able to keep up with this schedule for Shred: Monday (I'd like to Shred, but won't cry if I don't) Tuesday - Shred…
  • Just did day 9! Looking forward to seeing what level 2 has in store!

  • I had the most delicious wrap recently: roasted red pepper hummus, a generous serving of tabbouleh and balsamic glaze. Flavor party!
  • Dr. Lustig DOES talk about the use of HFCS and the difference between glucose, sucrose and fructose and the ways that each are processed metabolically.
  • http://youtu.be/dBnniua6-oMRobert H. Lustig, MD, UCSF Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology, explores the damage caused by sugary foods. He argues that fructose (too much) and fiber (not enough) appear to be cornerstones of the obesity epidemic through their effects on insulin. Series: UCSF Mini Medical…
  • Totally stuffed my scale onto the high shelf of my bedroom closet. It's been staring at me. Longingly. Begging for me to step on. And when I do, I find that my attitude changes. Despite the fact that I've been eating VERY well and exercising more regularly than ever. GO EFF YOURSELF, SCALE! lol *flex*
  • Just finished day 8. I feel like it should be getting easier, but it feels harder today and yesterday. Going to Zumba with some friends tonight. I won't do day 9 until Monday. Level 2 starts on Thursday for me. I'm excited and I appreciate you guys doing Shred with me. Checking in here certainly helps. <3 Rachel P.S. Happy…

  • I like the collar from the first one. I think that would be a nice touch on dress number 2 with long white gloves.
  • Send me on my way <3 Muy excellente.
  • I just finished up day 7. It seems as if I'm a little behind everyone, but I'm still going!! Thanks for all of the motivation :) I know you guys will be there at the finish line waiting for me!! Song of the day: Title: Gotta Get Thru This Artist: Daniel Bedingfield

  • After "clean eating" for 9 days, I realized that I'm consistently eating less than 1000 calories a day. That is definitely not a good thing --- with weight loss as my objective, I have to eat at LEAST 1200 calories a day so that I can cover my basic metabolic needs. There's no way I can eat MORE food. I've been eating a…
  • Just finished day 6! :) Thanks, guys!

  • Great list so far. If you're open to tinned sardines, you may also try kippered (smoked/split) herring. It's similar in nature and also inexpensive. Definitely greek yogurt --- you can buy larger sized containers and save some cash while adding far more protein than regular yogurt. Seafood can be inexpensive if you buy it…
