  • I have used that one too
  • isnt it so wierd that when you started eating healthier.. people get concerned? my grandparents always try to shove food down my throat even after i have told them i am not hungry. if anything just take one back to your desk and throw it away. esplain to them that you are not on a "diet" but just trying to make healthier…
  • for that i would do a lot of google-ing about like how to switch the unhealthy stuff you cook with for healthier options. for example.. instead of butter.. use olive oil or cooking spray to cook with. i dont really use butter so i am not sure of everything people use it for. instead of cooking veggies in butter steam them…
  • I agree with this.. try to think of them as healthy food options. "diet food" makes me think of like atkins and south beach diet stuff.. and some of the food is just as processed as "junk food" is good luck on your weight loss journey!! :))
  • yeah i would go with the tea suggestion.. tea is a lot better than any soda (reg or diet) good luck!
  • you can tell you look happier in the more recent pic. congrats on the loss! :))
  • peanut butter or almond butter with: apples celery banana and toast hummus with: carrots crackers a handful of pistachios or walnuts or almonds
  • ohh okay!! i think i might get it then!! thanks!
  • okay so i have been seeing a lot of stuff about the 30 day shred (aka 30DS).. is this the Jillian Michaels one? if so i saw on someones profile that it was 20 minutes? i looked it up and as far as i can tell it is 60 min long? which one is it? bc if it is 20 min i totally have time for that everyday.. not so much the 60…
  • people keep talking about basically bad sugar (a brownie) vs. good sugar (fruit)... sugar is sugar it is all metabolised the same.. the body doesnt know the difference
  • yes sugar matters a lot.. at least in my opinion. i was not worrying about sugar at first and no it did not prevent the number on the scale to drop butttt sometimes inches matter more than the scale (at least i think so). a couple months ago i started watching my sugar more and i have been told by friends and family that…
  • well it could depend on what you are eating? i know when i eat certain carbs my stomach feels way more bloated.. sugar does that too. so maybe looking at those two things and changing them for a couple days to see if you feel better. good luck! :))
  • 5'10" and proud!!! :)) I always thought that i was a large frame and would never get to 170.. but i passed it. then i never thought i would get down to 150.. i am only a couple pounds away.. so i am shooting for 140-145 and wanting to tone up. i reallly want to get at 145!! that would be the lowest i have been since i can…
  • like someone else said.. around 15g this cuts out a lot of things.. i have noticed how much sugar is in somethings where i wouldnt think there would be any sugar. i used to not care about but the calories.. but now i have become better about sugar and carb in take. It has allowed me to lose weight and inches especially…
  • I used to eat them pretty often for breakfast or before workouts.. but then i realized how much sugar there was in them. some have like 25g of sugar.. that can be a persons full need of sugar. so i have stopped eating them. there are a couple protein bars and shakes that are sugar free that i use sometimes.
  • read the direction on your birth control. usually if you take it with the normal 2 hours you should be okay.
  • yeah it could be what your eating. eating under calories doesnt mean you are eating healthy and could be a cause to you not losing weight.
  • you can try looking up what foods work together in order to get the all the amino acids like meat has so you get the same type of filling protein: like beans and rice or peanut butter and bread those are the only two i know by heart i know there are more foods that "complete" eachother and allow you to get the same protein…
  • That is awesome!!!! A similar thing happened to me today, i tried on a pair of my roommates jeans (that are 2 sizes smaller than what i have been wearing). I did not think they were going to fit over my hips bc my hips are much wider than hers and so is my butt lol. but i pulled those jeans on and could zip them just fine.…
  • I am glad other people have this happen to them too! I live in the sorority house, so everyone knows that i do and they always give me a hard time. ohhh well, i am the one eating healthy and losing weight.. while they just complain.
  • that is interesting that you said the soy milk helps with your hot flashes.. mom tells me that it has estrogen in it, so i wonder if that is why it help. you lose estrogen when going through menopause right?
  • i did that last night. lol. it was nice bc i didnt feel guilty since i didnt waste any extra money or calories
  • you have a lot more will power than me!!! i would tell myself i would.. but keep going back for me.. and by the end of the day that whole bag in GONE :/
  • i have always loved sweets! I am reading a book and eating and how to break bad habits. Basically the only thing you can do it tell yourself no. The longer and more times you cave in the more your brain thinks of the food as a reward and the more you will want it. So just think about the long term and how a day from now…
  • I got that book too! i have nottt follwed it religously though. It did make me aware of all the carbs and sugar that we eat and dont even know it. I have used some of the recipes for snacks and breakfasts and dinners. I cant say that "the weight has melted off" lol I do like using the idea of that and using this. I like…
  • GOOD JOB!! I had that same thing happen today. Someone brough in lunch and i said noo i went back to my desk and ate my salad :) no mac and cheese for me I feel way better than if i would have given in and i am sure you do too! :))
  • Well here is some info. To lose a pound of fat you must burn or cut out 3500 calories a week. so that is about 500 cal a day. It is easier to do so by eating better and lowering your calories. I dont think some people understand what it take to lose the weight. I dont think 1200 is too little especially if you arent very…
  • Frozen fruits and veggies tend to be cheap and they are just as nutritious as the fresh ones. Maybe that could help the costs with out cutting back on the healthy part :) ohh and bottled water.. dont buy it. get a plastic water bottle that you can reuse and just fill that up. that could save alot if yall buy bottled water
  • I used to drink it all the time for my water.. but i still put it in my diary as its own. But since reading up on the artifical sugar.. its not that great for you.. especially when you are trying to lose weight I found out about SoBe water in some fitness book and it doesnt have artifical sweetners and it has zero…
