I think I just threw up a little when I got to the ketchup part....

Totally agree - HATE sprinkles on anything! Also, the whipped cream thing - not on my coffee, hot cocoa, pumpkin pie, cheesecake, etc, etc! It is only allowed on Strawberry Shortcake! :flowerforyou:

Wouldn't you say it's a little bit of both?
-
Just cubed, tossed in a little EVOO, roast, sprinkle of salt - YUM! could eat it by the bucket-load!

I'm in the middle of 'Eating Animals' by Jonathan Safran Foer . So far, very informative. I haven't read 'Vegan Freak', but I'll put it on my list!! :)

AMAZING!!! Thanks for sharing such an inspiring before and after!!!!! Great job!
-
That's awesome! Reminds me of a new favorite quote - "Always question your limitations!" You did and now you know what you're capable of!!! You'll have other's drooling over your heavy lifting in no time!! Maybe already!! Keep it up!! Great job!!

I started Level 2 today! It is HARD!!! But, I'm so proud of how committed I've been this far (I know 10 days doesn't sound like a lot, but it IS for me!). Lots of suggestions to stretch the quads - but be sure you do it after the warm-up (after the jumping jacks, etc) because you don't want to do static stretching on cold…

Exactly this!

Great list forming here! I'd add EnerG Egg Replacer (for easy baking) and lots of grains like rice, barley, wheat berries, (LOVE Quinoa!) etc! TVP is definitely a staple at our house!! Use it to make burgers and "ground meat" for all recipes. And, I always pack some Daiya.... ;) Look forward to seeing what everyone else…

Mine don't seem to go anywhere....too bad! I wished they were the first to go!!

Agreed. It is pretty cool - but, like someone else mentioned, I think it would be better used for medical reasons. I agree also with everyone who is saying that too many people like to eat meat for the meat industry to go away. But, if the meat was really raised and slaughtered ethically, and the price reflected that cost…

This always happens - somebody has nothing intelligent to offer, so they just post a picture of the "juiciest" (i.e. fattiest) piece of meat they can find. Right along with all the others purporting that meat is such a healthy option! Ha!

Such fabulous results for a lot of hard work and determination!!! And, I think I'm hitting a little plateau right now, so your inspirational post comes at just the right time!! I am going to stick it out and just keep going!!! And, in a few months, I'll be able to post some amazing before and afters like you!!! Thanks for…

THIS!!!!!! I'm vegan and get the "oh, sorry - you can't have that can you?" UGH!! Same with choosing healthier foods. YES - "What ever I F-ing fancy, that is what!!!!!!" EXACTLY!!!!! Well said!! :D
-
Totally gonna make this!!!!!
-
That is super-flattering!!!! Wow!!! You're right - you never know who you may be inspiring. Even if you don't see a difference in their diet or exercise, little changes may be happening in their minds and gearing them up for ACTION!!! Awesome!

Sometimes, people just put "Bump" as a way to add the topic to their "My Topics" list (a list of topics you've replied to), so it's easy to find it again later.

You guys are so good....I watch calories and totally ignore the rest. :indifferent: It would stress me out to worry about every macronutrient. I over-analyze things too much as is. Plus, I don't think it makes since to worry about them too much because I don't know how correct the recommendations are in the first place! I…

So, there are multiple reasons to limit or cut dairy out all together: 1) cut calories - make room for more nutritious foods 2) cut fat 3) animal cruelty - sucks big time for dairy cows and the infants they are forced to carry, deliver, and give up to the veal industry/slaughter, and lots of cheese is made with rennin…

I say stay the course!!! Sounds like you are doing what you need to - eating mostly whole, healthy foods and exercising consistently. It took about a month for my body to "get with it" and figure out that I wasn't just trying to starve it or run it to death, but that this was the new way of things. Give it a little more…

How thick is it layered on?? Perhaps we could lick through the top layer of chocolate without actually hitting toe??? ;) Right now, there is a Pellexasil ad on my right sidebar - so there is a picture of a disgusting, fungus infested toe!!! ha ha ha ha!!! How serendipitous!!! :) So, maybe I'll say no....who knows what's…

Here's where you can find a great group and, hopefully, more friends here on MFP: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/45-happy-herbivores

Hi there! You are definitely not alone - in the world or here on MFP. There is a large group of veg eaters here! It took me a while, but there is a group you can join and discussion boards specifically for/about vegetarians/vegans!! Feel free to friend me, too, if you'd like! :) I try to eat as little processed food as…

You're not eating or drinking anywhere in that schedule??? Also, are these events right after one another - i.e. 7:00 am: stand on scale, 7: 01 am: sit on toilet, 7:06 am: stand on scale again? Or do you weigh the first time, hang out a bit, use the bathroom, then weigh right after that? If so, it may just be normal…

Don't hate the scar! Scars mean we survived! (I love this - taken from a novel titled "Little Bee") It's really true! If you hadn't survived whatever gave you that scar, you wouldn't be here today to show it off!!!! ;)
-
Ha! Finally we agree! Live and LET LIVE!!!!!! I'm not killing anyone by sharing facts and opinions on the meat/dairy industries. Now, if we could all LET LIVE!!!!
-
Semantics don't change the fact that it's disturbing and disgusting. If your pet was treated the way the animals are in the meat/dairy industry, I think people *might* cry out, "Murder!" I'll skip the vivid imagery......there are resources for that. Besides, I'm sure you've all seen it already and just don't give a rip,…

Good point!!!
