This is a very interesting read. I know that If I consume much above 2,000mg on the daily, it'll show up on the scale and I'll feel "puffy" the next day or two. But I wonder if that would level out over time? Or maybe I'm just not consuming enough potassium to counteract the sodium. Hmm....

I have the same issue with rice. Boxed, bagged, precooked, doesn't seem to matter. The servings in the package are never what it claims to be (usually falls short), and don't even get me started on the dry to cooked equivalents. If there's one thing I'll always weigh/measure, it's rice.

Nope, you're doing it right. The post is saying people who only eat 1,200 calories (or less) and then go try to exercise even more calories off, are doing more harm than they're realizing. So, yes, eat your exercise calories back.

Nope. Sedentary is strictly for people who don't ever exercise, period. And are restricted to bed rest. Most people who aren't on bed rest are at the very least considered to be "lightly active".

I wish I had known this years ago...would've saved me loads of wasted time at the gym, not to mention countless hours of being hungry when I didn't need to be. If I dropped my calories to 1,200 nowadays, I'd end up chewing off an arm!

Yep. It's that simple. However, if you're sensitive to sodium, consuming foods high in sodium can mask a loss on the scale. Also...while it's not necessary to eat heatlhy to lose weight, I've found that overall I feel better if I do.

Typically I change into gym clothes and head to the gym, when I get back from that, it's PJ time - which is usually a tshirt and yoga pants. As for snow handling...whatever I have on usually...unless it's super cold, then I start adding layers.
