I own a coffee/smoothie shop and am all about the smoothies when I'm starving and haven't gotten enough fruits or veggies in. Of course having the shop makes me much easier for me to have all kinds of ingredients to play with. Basic smoothies for us involve: 1 cup liquid base (could be milk, almond milk, coconut water,…

I'm really into the pandora running station right now. Decent mix of pop and rock.

Yesterday was a full day for me too! But looking back at my diary it was full of carbs. I think I need to focus on cleaner eating, but right now I'm proud of myself for staying within calories. I did get to kickboxing last night. Felt so much better than a boring treadmill workout. I am fed up with the excessive amounts of…

We've got this!!

My oldest was sick today, which meant I couldn't put her in the childcare room at the gym. I find classes so much more motivating than independent workouts, but I got my butt on the treadmill while the kids vegged out on the couch with a movie. I'm determined to take a class tonight!

Water is so important! Keep a bottle around at all times. At first you're gonna have to pee all the time but it helps the weight loss process so much. A ton of people are not fans of this but I allow myself one treat day a week. Usually a healthy lunch and breakfast, but then I allow myself a not so healthy dinner I've…

Happy: I lost weight and stuck to my goals this week! Happy: sticking to my goals resulted in not feeling nauseous and less headaches. Crappy: I feel like a brat, but I'm used to my first week back resulting in more water weight loss. The little amount I lost (which wasn't so little) means I actually did gain 5lbs over the…

Hi everyone! I wanted to find a group of people to chat with on yet another weight loss journey. I've tried lots of things and have always found MFP to be the best tool for maintainable change. I am 30, have two little girls (3 & 5),own a little coffee bar, and am married to a wonderful and skinny man who can eat whatever…

I want to make this, but wish the calories per serving were also provided. Might just have to put it in the recipe builder.

I have the ft7 and love it. Have had it for a year and a half now and have not had any complaints. I can't exercise without it! I paid $85 for it because my gym has a relationship with Polar.

I don't know anything about the fitbit, but I love my Polar heartrate monitor. It tells you how many calories you burn. Nothing too fancy, but that's all I need.

I allow myself a cheat meal on weigh-in day. It is usually a dinner out. I don't really worry about how many calories I consume during that meal, but I usually only let it be my entree (though I can't pass up chips and salsa if it's Mexican). I don't usually let myself have a drink, dessert or an appetizer unless I've…

I'll go low fat and low cal on a lot of things, but I will never give up regular mayonaise or salad dressings. The low fat kinds taste gross to me! I just have to make sure I measure them out.

thamantha- Great job staying under calories and getting such a long walk in yesterday! I hope you did just as well today! I need to hear stuff like that to get motivated!
-
Jennifer- Use the puppy as an excuse and tell your dad you'd love company while you take him for a walk (and make the walk much longer than he expects  ). I did terribly today. Didn't even track my calories. I will be much better tomorrow. I have to work through two meals tomorrow. That means healthy packed meals…

I'm sure they do, but I definitely didn't get it  . If I had known I was going to start counting again today I would never have gone. Haha. We are having a healthy dinner tonight, though, so I'm hoping to still make it under calories. Great job on the mowing by the way! I do some of the yard every once in awhile…

I'm in! I have an 8 week old daughter and have been putting off starting to lose the leftover baby weight with breastfeeding as my excuse. Didn't want to do anything but worry about production. Now that things seem to be running smoothly, I need to kick my butt into gear. What a terrible day to start. We had Sonic for…

bump! Still lurking!

Victoria- haha! You are the first person to call my little girl a boy. I know it happens all the time so I'm just amused by the mix up :) Julz- congrats on such a great grade! Welcome to all of the newcomers! I guess I'll be transitioning over to mama group soon. I just can't help checking in with the girls I've gotten…

Well what the heck. I resized it, but it's still huge. Sometimes it takes the website while to acknowledge the edit, so I'll wait and see if it fixes itself.

Hey girls. So sorry I've been MIA. I log on for a second to check and see if any babies have come and to log in exercise. Other than that I'm off pretty quickly. Maureen- I can't believe that baby isn't here yet! As a due date twin, I would be going crazy if Emma was still in my tummy right now. Hopefully the little one…

Just checking in to see if any babies have been born. Sorry no baby yet Maureen, but 80% effaced sounds promising!! I bet the little one will be here before your induction date.

I'll post more later. I'm just so overwhelmed by all of the…

Bump! Tried to post a pic using the iPod but I can't figure it out. Oh how I wish my laptop worked. Baby girl is sleeping soundly... So is my husband. We are pooped. Blissfully pooped :)

Sheri- I'm sorry you are going through a rough patch. Oh mama's boys. When are they going to learn that wife and children take priority? I get so angry at stuff like that because so much of it is the MIL's fault too. You know they know exactly what they are doing. I know so many couples with those issues. It can get really…

Anne- I don't really know if my pregnancy has been similar to my mother's. She had morning sickness and I never did. She told me last night that her water didn't break with any of the three of us until she was already at the hospital, but that her mucous plug came out something like two weeks before each of our births. If…

Carina- I am so very sorry you have to go through this. No one should ever have to go through this. You are a very strong woman for staying in the relationship and trying to work it out. I always think I know what I would do in such a situation, but the truth is none of us actually know what we would do until faced with…

Yeah, my little cousin and my husband were both oopsie babies who were conceived while the moms were breastfeeding. I will most definitely not be using that or the absence of my period as BC.

Great info ladies! Thanks for all of the advice. Yeah. The IUDs sorta scare me, but they sound so easy once they're put in (that is if you don't have any bad reactions). I think I'll probably just go on the mini pill. I was on the pill for forever, so it's nothing new. My husband and I were just using condoms for about a…

What do we think about an IUD? I keep going back and forth on it.
