Well, just did week 1 cardio and it was intense. I've never sweated so much in my life.
-
I start with between half an hour and an hour of cardio (usually treadmill and bike - sometimes rowing machine) and then move onto weights (bench press, leg curl, leg press, seated row, step ups) and then abs (crunches, bicycle crunches, leg lifts, abdominal twists with a medicine ball, plank) and then I finish off with a…

My advice is to remember that no one really cares how you look on the beach. You're slim and gorgeous and no one at all is going to concern themselves with the small part of your tummy that you're not happy with. Just relax and have an awesome holiday!

Bite the bullet and do Ripped in 30 or Shred! They sound amazing - I'd love to have copies of both. They're supposed to kick your *kitten* - you just have to struggle through!
-
Eesh, I usually only do 40 a day - 200 might kill me!
-
Just push yourself an extra minute or two every day and you'll get there!

I completed Day 1, Week 3 today. I was totally freaked out at having to run for three whole minutes - but I did it! It really is getting easier, I nearly died after the first one. My face went completely red and flushed and didn't go back to normal for a couple of hours. I seriously hated running... And kinda still do, but…

I'm trying to get a flat tummy too - things aren't going so well :(

I've just started it (I've only done week 1 so far) and I already feel like I'm getting a bit better. I still hate running though - I just want to do it for the feeling of achievement.
-
Well yeah, that's exactly my point!

Legit gripes sure. Yeah, it's a pain when people don't wipe down machines and act in a way that endangers others at the gym. This is not the kind of comments that I'm addressing. It's the comments deriding people who choose to walk on a treadmill, read a magazine on a bike or wear makeup to the gym. Defend making fun of…

I've just started C25k and I definitely don't love it, but I think I'll enjoy it more when I hit more milestones like being able to run for 4 minutes straight without absolutely dying. Maybe you could ease yourself into it with the C25k program?

What's the difference if you hurt someone's feelings? Why is that something that you would want to risk? What on earth is this victim blaming bollocks?! YOU get hurt by something, and it's YOUR fault? That's 100% not fair. Some people are more sensitive that others and that's absolutely fine. Some people can happily shrug…

Of course I have room to talk - people change and grow and that's why I'm talking about this. I'm not content to live in a world where people just shrug and accept bullying as a part of life. It amazes me that anyone is! It shouldn't be a part of life. It's terrible and horrible and affects peoples lives in a massively…

A laugh at other people's expense isn't a very good laugh. I think it's amazing that people are arguing for their right to be mean and judgmental of other people.
-
Don't apologize, it's fine. And clearly that's not the world that anyone lives in, but wouldn't it be nice? I think the true growing up comes when you realize that it's actually not very nice to derive pleasure or joy from making other people feel bad. It would be fine if no one was feeling like they had to defend their…

This is the most appalling advice that I've ever heard. I'm supposed to ignore bullying and terrible attitudes because I don't like it? Should I also ignore rape and child abuse simply because I don't like them? Ignore racist comments because I don't like them? Really? That's your advice? It should bother EVERYONE that…
-
Well, I personally don't care what anyone thinks, but i know how scary it can be and that other people's judgement will affect people going. I don't think that laughing about "types" at the gym on this site helps either.
-
That sucks, and this is exactly why it really bothers me when people on this site go on and on about other people at the gym. It's pretty horrible that people like them will stop people like you from wanting to go!

There's a lot of awesome free c25k apps!

I'm 5'7" and am at 150lbs. My ultimate goal is to get down to between 125lbs and 120lbs, but I really just want to tone up my stomach and lose weight off my hips and thighs, so if that happens before those numbers, I'll be happy :)
-
I know that I'm not "fat" - but I've put on about 40lbs since last July, so in just under a year and a half. I was way too skinny back then, but that's way too much weight to be putting on in such a short amount of time. I have a tummy that I never used to have, and I just feel a bit gross. I just want to be able to fit my…

I use Balance (Fuel and Recovery, 100% Whey) in the Cookies and Cream flavour. It's super yummy, even just mixed with water and is only 119 calories per serving :). Plus, it tastes even better with a (frozen) banana blended in too!

I think you should just sit her down and be completely honest. Maybe even mention that you're so worried that you even asked people advice on a forum! Just be completely honest the whole time - you're worried, you feel like she shuts down when you talk bring it up, that you're not sure if you should let it go and wait for…

Some people are just introverted and there's nothing wrong with that. Not wanting to interact socially isn't always a sign of depression or a deeper problem. However, if she has become more withdrawn, let her know that you're worried and try and find out what's wrong. Let her know that you love her and that you'll stick…

I think it's racist. But no, seriously, brown rice and wholegrain bread are much better for you and there's no compromise on taste!

Haha, I have a skinny boyfriend with grrr metabolism too! And that is amazing - what an awesome job :) I just got The Lion King on DVD and have been having wonderful sing-a-longs :) 119lbs is my "dream" weight - but now that I'm going to the gym, I'm not so concerned with the number - I just want to feel good and not…
