HI, Thanks for the above, I have taken a look at both links and now feel much better about my calorie goal of 1200 I will stick to that and eat back what I burn when I want to/need to..I will change my goal as well to 1 pound per week and just be more realistic.. thanks for your help/advice.

Hi, Did that..thanks for sendin me in the right direction, it was on metrics though so guess just what others have said here is correct.. I am over thinking and trying to loose too much.. thanks for your help though

Hi, yeah my bmr is 1260 last time I checked..you are probably right about the fact that I am very close to a healthy weight range, I really want to loose fat at this point rather than anything else. currently my body fat percentage is 20% and I just want to get it down a little further..what exactly is strenght training? i…

Thanks huni x

I have been on that calorie goal now for a couple of weeks.. I see your point about losing a healthy amount of weight, perhaps I havnt waited enough... I was under the assumption that 2pounds a week is safe...I have 4kilos that I want to shift in order to be happy and then I want to maintain my weight..

Thanks.. :)

err.. i dont know.. how would i find out? :S

BMI is a load of toddle.. I would not go by that..a body fat percentage of 20 - 30 % is good for woman, so I would suggest that your body fat percentage is pretty good.. so dont worry too much about what the bmi says. other people of the same weight and height could easily look different in size to you, as their muscle…

Meat is really high in protein and low in carbs. Hubby and I usually buy the chicken chargrills from the frozen section in Asda or tesco.. 2 of those are only 310 calories and hardly any carbs - in fact very low in carbs and good amount of protein. also they are rather tasty and you can get different flavours.. all are…

1litre water bottle in each arm is also a good replacement for weights

today is the first time I have used a hrm...I just got the polar ft7..so same one as you. the reason I got one is that I was convinced the machines in the gym were giving me inaccurate count..I.e. too high. I created a forum and lots of people advised that hrm was the way forward and more accurate...after my session in the…

Hi. What is HIIT - sounds interesting... I can currently run 5k.. although my time is not great.. I do it in 35mins.. and I really want to get that down.. but cant decide weather to try and get to running 10k first or to improve my time on the 5k run..what do you think?
-
Yeah I def agree.. but i used to do a lot of running and have always been sporty.. so I do a lot of excercise anyway.. so physically relatively fit.. so started with 3 miles.. I really want to be able to do a marathon though ... one day.. but that is a way off at the moment..
-
haha... i meant I run at 6 - 10 kilometers which is.. 3.7 - 6.2 miles an hr...so roughly the same as you...I have been running 3 miles in the gym when I go... roughly 4 times a week and most of the time i run steadily on 6mph... but I do increase that to a sprint for a minute when I am doing interval training..

Hiya, Shaking up your routine is good.. if you stick at the same thing for too long your body gets used to it and you dont end up improving. I have read that 3 months doing the same routine is long enough (but that was in the gym).. shaking it up is also good for improving your endurance... so increase the speed at which…

I have just turned 28... feel free to add me if you like...I am on here regularily and like helping people and motivating them.. and vice versa...

haha.. true... I was going to ask someone... with the HRM I wanted to wear it in the pool... how does that work with the strap?
-
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone... I have just ordered the polar FT7 and it should arrive tomorrow... super excited. :)

Hiya, It sounds like to me.. that he doesnt really undestand the ED and what you went through. I agree that he does sound a bit insensitive, but you obviously know him way better than we all do.. so maybe having him go and talk to a specialist, or a doctor with you so that they can explain to him the sensistive issues…

hiya, Hubby and I go for the chicken chargrills that you can buy from the frozen section in tesco or asda.. if you have two of them they are only 310 calories and full of protein and hardly any carbs. We then usually make a massive salad and have that with...the chargrills are actually really nice as well, so doesnt feel…
