I've been having the same problem so I asked my sister (who is a registered dietician) and she said that as long as they are lean and healthy proteins it is ok to go over the goal.

I've worked out both barefoot and with shoes on at home. I have serious knee issues (recovering from a second knee surgery right now) and I haven't noticed a difference between the two.

I always had sweet tooth cravings in the late afternoon at my desk job also. It helped to chew some gum, I usually had some sort of fruity, extra sweet flavor and that seemed to help.
