protein goals

I have a question I have in recent weeks been eating alot of food that is low in calories and carbs but is high in protein. My protein intake goal is 65 and I have gone way over that. I have been eating eggs, chicken, fish. I used to snack on baked lays and pop chips, goldfish,cheez-its, i have replaced that with snacking on beef jerky. I know protein is beneficial to the muscles but I do not work out besides daily walking and playing with the kids. My question really is having too much protein a bad thing?

I've been having the same problem so I asked my sister (who is a registered dietician) and she said that as long as they are lean and healthy proteins it is ok to go over the goal.0
