The "get up and moving reminder" is simply a red arrow on the display- it does not beep or vibrate on the Vivofit, so you can effectively ignore it if necessary.

I prefer thongs when working out in compression pants/capris and found some awesome ones at Walmart online - "Best Fitting - Seamless Thong Panties, 3-Pack" for $11.88. I don't even notice them but they give that extra layer so I don't feel too naked. Also, another vote for commando for running shorts with the built-in…

When I was in high school, I overdid it exercising when I was dehydrated - basically, I did a bunch of medicine ball sit-ups on an incline bench and must have ruptured part of my abdominal muscle. Anyway - the next day I had some ab pain (like, hey, great work out yesterday), but then it just got progressively worse. By…

It is a challenge to keep high protein without having high sodium! Many bread choices also have high sodium for your sandwiches. Would you be willing to try a higher protein grain source with your chicken/tuna like quinoa, amaranth, oatmeal, or brown rice - maybe make it into a salad with some leafy greens, spinach? Those…

I'm also trying to limit sodium at this point in time to between 1500 and 2000 mg. I do have to limit anything prepackaged or fast food to almost none. I don't add table salt to ANYthing anymore, only pepper, and no soy sauce when I prepare food myself. The 3 "flavorings" that have saved my taste buds from boredom are:…

There is a "Group" on MFP "P.C.O.Sis" that has been helpful to me. There are a lot of us PCOSers out there. You CAN lose the weight and be healthy. Don't let PCOS become an excuse to not lose the weight. It may take some time, but you can do it!

I assume you mean "passing" as in "saying no" to the foods at the parties?? If so, whenever I am in a party setting, I like to try to pre-log my food as much as possible (I know you probably don't know what will be available to eat before you go) or at least try to look at the nutrition info on the bags of food, if…

Bump (worried I may have a herniated disc and hoping I can try non-surgical things first - hope some of you have had to luck in getting pain to subside!)

Saving this for later! 36-38 D-DD (shrinking now). I have always had to wear an underwire sports bra with a regular sports bra on top also, which does work wonderfully, but is a pain in the butt to have to do every time I just want to do ANY exercise! Glad to know I'm not the only one who can't wear those cute little ones!…

^^^ This totally helps me not binge. I have to log faithfully and in advance, so I know what I am going to eat, so it doesn't get out of control. Good tip! YOU CAN OVERCOME THIS!!!! :)

On the soreness - make sure to stay very hydrated and don't overdo TOO much. You do want to push yourself, but not to the extent you will not be able to continue your weight-loss journey due to injury, etc. Drink lots of water now to try to flush out the lactic acid. Keep up the good work!

I just bought a Mio Petite last week that is really easy to program and was only $50. I really like that I can set the timer different ways, especially in 1 minute countdowns for interval-type training. It may not be the most accurate, as it is only worn on the wrist, but I really like it for having something to start…

Great choice!! 30 Day Shred is a quick way to get moving. I love how the workouts are only 20 min. Make sure you eat bananas and drink water so you don't get calf cramps from all the jumping! :) My daughter and I are doing the 30 Day Shred workouts too, we've done 3 days of Workout 1. I'm nervous to move up to Workout 2!…
