Love this show, FI and I watch it religiously!

I can tell you that being on 500-800 calories a day for an extended period of time REALLY ****ed me up mentally. I had a horrible temper, was constantly irritable and moody, depressed, etc. Made my life hell. Please eat more, it will really make a BIG difference! Yes you will lose weight (I lost a lot) but it is not worth…

I use whey protein shakes during my workout. It helps me hit my protein macro for the day. I mix it with 568ml of skimmed milk, 30-60g of protein (depending on the workout of that day). It's really not necessary for some people but for me I struggle to get the protein otherwise, because food really fills me up. I have…

5'3, 110lbs is my goal, currently 126lbs!

Feel free to add me, I've lost 15lbs just from weightlifting (all the main compound lifts) in 4 months, and only watching my protein macros! However, starting to knuckle down with my diet, so eating fairly clean (I like to think) and will be doing more exercise to get rid of the extra 16lbs!

In my opinion you are doing way too much isolation stuff. It looks really complicated. Get those compound lifts under your belt, 3 times a week, with some cardio and you'll be good. Eat well and you'll be great! Look at Stronglifts 5x5 for a good workout plan. Good luck!

Thanks for this!

I'll be 21 in June and graduating in September (starting my Masters then as well!). Add me :)

Interesting. I don't know why that is the case. At least I have lost 2lbs in a week but from what I understand, that is not healthy. It'll take me a good 8-10 months to get my goal weight (between 100-110lbs) but if this means eating more, I will do it.

Cheers folks. I know this mindset is screwed up and irrational. I'll try to eat 1500 calories at least a day, and see how that goes. Maybe up it to 1700 if I feel comfortable. I don't even know how this came about, it is quite worrying actually. When I first started out (last year) I was only eating 800 calories a day and…

Living in London here! Add me, I am eating FAIRLY clean and working out at least 4 times a week.
-
How do you get around it?
-
I tend to say to myself 'screw you uterus, you will NOT get the better of me!' and go out and power it out at the gym and eat carefully.

Happy!

So jealous :(

Aside from books for revision for university exams, I am reading The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie

You kind of remind me of Cher a bit (with softer features and red hair!)

A chain of gyms called The Gym. However, will be switching to Virgin Active when I move in with my boyfriend in June (there's one 5 minutes away from our future flat)

You look like a guy who supports equal rights :)

This thread makes me happier because I am thinking about getting it (whilst I love my pill, my schedule is getting more hectic and I'm worried about forgetting to take one, plus I've been getting erratic spotting for a while which is bugging me). I'm a nulliparous woman, I've heard good things about mirena even being used…

You look stunning lady, congratulations!

Rock it! There is nothing wrong with women in the free weights section. I was there for a session a few days ago, doing bench presses, and a super skinny guy next to me was trying to keep up but failing miserably. Us ladies can rock the weights too when we want to ;) And even if people stare, let them. I know the guys at…

Well done! I know the struggle to reach your goal weight when you haven't got a lot to lose (I started out at 40 and am currently 124 or so, struggling to get to 110!). So major major kudos :D
