I too find myself liking sweet chocolate much more at 9 moths out. I always liked chocolate but now I Crave it- especially in the form of Oreos. I had a problem with Oreos last week. So this week I'm back to basics and trying to purge that Oreo craving out of me...

I'm 9 months out and hair is not filling in yet.... Still pretty thin in the front and I don't see any new growth. I eat about 1200 cals a day and hit my protein. Any ideas? Is it possible my hair actually died in that area ??

Hi Folks, to those of you who have broken a plateau: What do you consider keeping your carbs low under 100g, under 50g, under 30g? My nut recommends at least 100 G of carbs a day. I recently broke a long plateau but looks like I just moved into a second one. Nut has me on 1200 calls a day, I get ave 70-90 g of protein…

Your goals are your goals so reflect on the journey past, present and look towards the future. If the number was not an issue would you be totally happy with your body and…

2 days a week I attend a small group strength training class with a personal trainer. There are typically 6-7 stations of varying weight machine, body weight exercises and free weights. We rotate states at anywhere between 1-2 minute intervals. Always cardio involved as well. There is a 30 -60 second recovery period…

Welcome and congrats!!!!! Right after surgery I had buyers remorse. Icod have slapped myself for actually doing this to myself- for so many reasons - mostly emotional. But day by day it all got better as I kept and renewed my resolve. I wish you good success!

What everyone else said... Plus my 2 cents ;-). I've been relatively slow since the beginning and I had my surgery at 37 years old... When I went in sorta down to my pcp she said "well you definitely would not and have not been able to lose this much at this pace befor so you are much further along than you would have been…

Well you hit 2 of my faves for the early stage: p3 and chicken salad cups... What about frozen turkey meatballs. You could put them in separate containers perhaps with a spoonful of marinara? Of course there are also individual cheese sticks. There are some ore packed mini turkey bites I bought but they were horrid. How…

The biggest issue WLS patients have is the loss of muscle due to such rapid weight loss. Exercising (especially weight lifting/bearing and resistance) early on and not sticking below 1200 for too long (adaptive thermo) will keep that from happening and you can end up being "normal". But most WLS have a higher final body…

Thaeda, I hear you but I have to say that no one expects you to be perfect or more perfect than them to be an inspiration. at least I don't. We all got that good, bad and ugly. Half of what you said could have easily came from me....Thank you for keeping it 100% real sometimes the real feels really ugly..... Just the fact…

Early on mixing crystal light with protein powder worked for me since I couldn't take the thick shakes at all. Now I do like GNC Lean Shake in Vanilla Bean...
