  • I could have written this. I gained weight at a rapid pace so I was sent for blood work. I was certain there was something wrong with my thyroid or my hormones. The results came back and were exactly where they should be. I was so disappointed there was no medical reason for my weight gain. I think the endo doctor's…

  • When I first started logging my food, I discovered that I was only eating about 600 calories a day. This explained why I could NEVER lose any weight.
  • Definitely track everything that goes into your mouth. You can and will lose weight just by tracking. Since you are in a wheelchair, I would suggest lifting weights. Start small and gradually increase as it becomes easier and easier to lift. A pool would be a great place for some water aerobics. Do you have a YMCA where…
  • I spent the majority of my adult life at 115 lbs. In 2008, I quit smoking, stopped sleeping all of which coincided with menopause. Over the next several months, I was up 10 pounds. By 2011, I had gained 40 pounds. My feet constantly hurt, and my back hurt from carrying around the extra weight. If I got down on the floor, I…

  • I wish all you IP dieters the best of luck.... IP is expensive and once you go back to eating every day food, you will gain the weight back within a year, unless you plan on purchasing their food for the rest of your life. The weight gain has happened to everyone I know that has been on this diet including me. Although no…
  • I record my weight every Wednesday morning. I put the scale in the same spot on the floor and weigh myself naked. I also weigh myself on Sunday morning to see if I am headed in the right direction. If I'm not, it gives me a few days to get my act together.
  • Handful of almonds or Bryers Carb Smart Ice Cream
  • I did Ideal Protein. It is very expensive and once you go back to eating regular, everyday food you will gain the weight back.
  • I was weighing myself every day and I would freak out if I gained an ounce or be overly excited that I lost 3 ounces, only to gain it back on a different day. My doctor said for me to only weigh myself once a week, so on Wednesday mornings I hop on the scale and record it in my log. I do weigh myself on Sunday morning just…
  • I just stumbled across this post this evening, so I thought I would respond. I had 30 pounds to lose and I tried every way imaginable to lose it, and couldn't. I weighed 115 pounds for most of my adult life and I'm 5'4". It seemed like all of a sudden, my size 4 pants were tight, then my size 6, then my size 8 on so on. I…
