I've had the flex for about a week and a half and I love it so far. Is it going to be the primary factor in me losing weight? Of course not, but it's a useful tool that puts data in my face that helps me quantify activity and causes me to be at least a little bit more active. I also have a Polar HRM, and I've tested…

Yes.

Their grilled chicken club is only about 400 calories and is actually very food. Skip the fries and get a side salad instead.

I'm 38, but please only add me if you're awesome. :)

You can count the water in watermelon because it's in the name. I don't think an apple qualifies though. However, if you work outside in the heat, you really should try to capture your sweat and drink it back. Between that and watermelon, you wouldn't have to drink any plain water ever.

I would also recommend the Couch to 5k program. It's a great program to get started in running. I started it a little over a year ago at about 270 pounds, never having run before in my life. I'm now about 190 and can complete a 5k in under 23 minutes. I had never been a runner and didn't think I would like it, but I forced…

I just got a FitBit Flex Monday evening, and so far I really like it. I haven't had it long enough to give a real review, but I LOVE having tons of data in my face all the time, so it's great for me. I have it linked up with MFP, so I still log my food here, but I let the FitBit do all of my exercise adjustments for me.…

I'm one of those people who also would have said to not recommend drinking it black. I just didn't like it. However, I started by going from cream and sugar to just cream, and then lowered the amount of cream over time. I now actually LIKE black coffee. I'll still have it with cream occasionally, but I usually just drink…

Love it! NO EXCUSES!!!

I don't think the zoo is at fault, but I'm FOR the parents' right to take it to court and have their case heard.

That's awesome. Go go go!!!

I love ice cream, but I very rarely eat it. It's easier for me to have NONE than a little bit, and I just choose to avoid it. Doesn't mean I don't love it. :)

A Crunchy Peanut Butter Clif Bar. Yumm

This is a few months old, and I've lost about 15 more pounds:

I usually eat a Clif Bar. About 240 calories, tastes good, and holds me until lunch most days.

MapMyRun will definitely do it. You can set your target pace and have it tell you at a pre-set interval how far off you are. I used to use that before I started using RunKeeper. I switched because RunKeeper saves more detailed data and I like to look at it after the run (e.g., I can see my speed on a per minute average…

I think RunKeeper will do it. It will definitely tell you your average and current pace and/or speed (among other things) at whatever interval you choose. I have mine set to tell me the total time, total distance, and average pace once per minute. In your example, you would just need to know that your goal pace is 7:57…

I have a Volvo S60 and I love it! Grandpa's car? Really? My 14-year-old daughter loves it and is already excited for the day when I hand her the key.

I started C25k at 270 pounds (I'm 5'9"). I was never a runner before, but now I'm doing 60+ miles every month and I love it.

I try to avoid pizza because it's a weakness of mine. I LOVE it. My problem is that I can easily eat 1000 calories worth of pizza. It's just easier for me to have none than a little bit. Ice cream falls into this category for me as well for the same reason.
-
MFP didn't CAUSE this problem. You need professional help.
-
Really? I thought you had to be 18 to create an account.
-
I just stick it in my mouth and always make sure to go out of my way to maintain eye contact with whoever is around while eating it.

"Yeah, but it's easier for you because you're a guy" BS. I'm successful because I work hard at it. Gender has nothing to do with it.

That's awesome! Way to stick with it! Go go go!

About a year ago, I was 270 pounds and decided to start C25k, having never run before in my life. It was hard work, but I pushed through and did it. I'm now about 80 pounds lighter, and I run 5k at about a 7:00 - 7:30 min/mile pace on a regular basis. I usually run 5 days a week now. Today, I ran 5 miles at a 7:12 min/mile…
