Make sure you're taking measurements too. I've had periods when I exercised more than my "normal" or changed up my exercise where the scale didn't move, but I lost inches off my waist.

Hi and welcome! I'm on regularly and check my feed often. If I can be an encouragement and motivator to you (or anybody), please add me. I grant bonus points for creative notes in the friend request, by the way. :)

I've had the Polar FT7 for a while, and I love it. However, the FT4 is cheaper and the features aren't much different (primarily that it stores less workouts and can't sync to the website, which requires that you buy another component anyway). As far as it spiking high when you first start working out. Yes, mine does that…

Do they pay you ENOUGH for that?

Very true, and well said!

How long have I been on the phone with AT&T? Over an hour just for the current call? What better time to catch up on the forums?

Sounds a lot like my shoes. They're probably about 8-9 months old, and I'd estimate that I have 300-400 miles on them. The tread is starting to look pretty worn, but they look almost brand new on the top. I'll probably put it in February's budget to replace them.

I'm in Delaware. That's practically Maryland... or Pennsylvania... or New Jersey... :)

I second chicken breast.

Are you drinking enough water? Water is great for curbing hunger. Also, try to focus on foods that aren't calorie dense. I.e., find foods that are filling, but not high in calories. (not sure what you're eating; can't see your diary).

You're welcome to add me as well if I can be of any motivation to you!

This ashtray! And that's the only thing I need!

I use it because it doesn't go bad as fast as regular milk, it has more calcium, it doesn't have lactose, it's less calories than skim milk, and it tastes delicious on cereal!

I think this device is terrible for the future of humanity. However, I secretly wish I had invented it. That guy's gonna be rich! :)

I was always on the heavy side, and in my adult life, I gained about 10 pounds a year, until I broke 300 pounds, and I stayed there for nearly 10 years. I'm down to 205 now, but I've still got a way to go before I'd be considered "thin". ETA: I'm about 5'10"

I started with 100+ to lose. 20 or so to go!!!

I just made these a little bit ago. I used almond milk and chocolate protein powder. We'll see how they taste. Mine worked out to 193 calories, but only 14g of protein though.
