I've started weighing myself once a month. I find I get too focused on the numbers, even at once a week. I haven't weighed myself since Oct 1st, and I've noticed little NSV like some of my shirts that were too small a couple months ago have started fitting better.

I keep going to the bathroom and not needing to undoing my pants at all!

I would highly recommend talking to a doctor about that, rather than randos on the internet. :3

The avocado toast I had for breakfast. It was tasty AND pretty and I actually made something all by myself. I also just love avocado.

I'm not a drug dealer, officer! It's for my food, I swear! ;)

You can do it! It's awkward at first, but gets easier and more natural the longer you do it.

Avoid hard or sticky things. You can still eat apples if you cut them up, but eating the whole thing without cutting it up also hurts with braces! Also, soft bread is a pain because it gets stuck. Be sure to keep a toothbrush on you until you get good at sucking the food out of your braces (I know it sounds gross, but it's…

I think this is my 4th time restarting. I seem to have finally gotten back into the swing of it. The first time I used MFP consistantly and followed my recommended calories for the day, I lost 60lbs. Then over the course of about 5 years I gained them all back, plus another 40... *sigh* I'm going to try really hard this…

I need to lose 108 lbs to get down to the weight my doctor would like to see me at (230). Though if I could get back down to 260 (the lowest of my adult life), I would be over the moon (338 lbs rn, started at 344 a little less than 2 weeks ago).

Oregon here, so definitely in the PNW neighborhood. :)

That way lies madness. Too much day to day fluxuation. Once a week is generally good for keeping an eye on progress.

I'll do it! But I will be waiting for my first weigh in for September, which is in a few more days. :) Original starting weight (August 2017): 344 lbs. September starting weight: (as of my last weigh in in August) 338.4 lbs September goal: 330 lbs Ultimate goal: 230 lbs (I weigh in on Tuesdays) 5st Sep- 12th Sep- 19th Sep-…

Hello! I'm here looking to lose weight. Currently 338 lbs and losing. 35 y/o. I would love more friends so I have more things to read on my feed here. I'm not super chatty, but I read, like, and occasionally comment if I feel I have anything of value to add.

My hangover remedy is to not get hangovers and just smoke weed instead (it's legal where I live) >.> But that comes with it's own eating habits and issues, lol!

I've found it takes about 30lbs before anyone will really notice AND say something. Also because your clothes start not fitting right anymore. :3

Hello! I love new friends! I live in Oregon

I love more friends! Completely non-judgemental, just looking to offer encouragement. Unsolicited "advice" can be the worst.

Yay! I love seeing my feed with so many people now!

Everytime I restart on here, I see my quote on my profile page. "I get knocked down, but I get up again. You're never going to keep me down." It makes me feel better. It's not starting over. It's getting back up.

Everyone wants weight loss to be some magic secret that is easy and effortless. I wish it worked that way.

Thanks everyone! I love MFP. :)

So, my highest weight ever was 325. How did I get there? Honestly? Because cheeseburgers are *kitten* delicious. I lived by myself and no one cared how or what I ate. I've always been overweight, but after college it got really bad. Fast food several times a day. Chips, soda, candy, cake... I did not care because it was…

Thanks! My original starting weight (before I reset my counter) was 309.

Well it's not necessarily bad advice. It will help reduce belly fat. And leg fat. And arm fat. And butt fat... assuming she is also burning more calories with this CARDIO, CARDIO, CARDIO!!!!! than she is taking in. It's just incomplete, slightly inaccurate advice.
