Great job! Didn't get my run in today, but my legs are sore from working in the garden. This challenge is motivating me to get out for at least a walk tomorrow!

Great job! I don't know how much I walked yesterday - just running errands with the kids, no walking for exercise. I hope to run this afternoon and log some miles. April total: still 10

Isn't it crazy how much your period can be a celebration? I know we wouldn't have been able to have our second child without the help of Metformin. Children really are little miracles - so much in our bodies have to work just right to make a baby. (Talking to myself - had a rough day as a mom, and it's a good reminder of…

Glad to know I'm not alone  I had worked really hard and was 2 lbs away from goal weight. Then I stopped breastfeeding and between November and February I gained 13 lbs!! 6 of that has come off, but it is hard. You're doing a great job - keep it up

I don't know how much you need to lose or how active you currently are, but here is what worked for me. I am 5'11' and my max weight (not counting pregnancy) has been 205. I'm hovering around 175 now, so that's 30 lbs down and I have 10 to go. I know other women on here have different amounts to lose - that's why I…

I kind of cheat, because I walk 4 miles every Monday-Thursday getting my son to and from preschool

This was the comment I agreed with

^^^ agree 100%! I read that post and started one of the bodybuilder strength training plans three weeks ago. I can already tell a difference in how my pants fit around my stomach. I also cut out processed sugar about 2 months ago. I think both of these have helped me lose fat all over, and I'm just now noticing the…

When I worked a desk job, I scheduled water breaks. I didn't keep a bottle at my desk, but once an hour I'd take a walk around the building to the water fountain.

Well, my 'baby' is probably technically a toddler (16 months), but I love having mom MFP friends, so anyone is free to add me :). I also have a 5 yr old. OP - I was about 4 lbs away from my goal weight when I got pregnant. We had been trying for two years and had two miscarriages, so I was thrilled - but part of me felt…

22. (Is that what number we're on?) "You don't look like you have PCOS..." This was said to me by the ultrasound tech who was checking me out as I was experiencing my second miscarriage in a year. I didn't have the energy to explain to her that PCOS looks different in different people.

I was diagnosed with insulin resistant PCOS, and my weight loss really picked up once I started Metformin (along with low sugar eating and exercising hard 5 days a week). I lost about 30 lbs in three months (which got me to a healthy bmi). I agree, though, that you should find a new doctor. My favorite doctors, whether GP,…

There is a PCOS group here that you may want to join. I had two miscarriages and trouble losing weight, then I was diagnosed with PCOS, went on Metformin, was able to have a second child, and started losing weight. I honor your decision to go natural; just wanted you to know the meds really helped me.

There is a PCOS group on here that you might want to join. Everyone is super supportive!

I agree with a previous poster about having a calendar with daily goals on it. That way, I know exactly what I'm doing everyday, and it's harder to make excuses not to go. If you need help making daily goals, I'm sure someone at your gym can help.

Thank you for being brave and sharing your story! I am so sorry about the tough road you have been on. I also decided to get serious about weight loss after two miscarriages. You are not alone, and I wish you all the best!

I'm right where you are, and I understand your frustration! While I like how I look and even feel, it would be awfully nice to see the scale go down. Keep your good habits and focus on those non scale victories.

VB6 by Marc Bittman is really good.

Routine is key! I go to the Y every morning after I drop my son off at school. If I miss a few days, the ladies at the Y wonder what's wrong. Find out what works best for your schedule and find people that will ask you if you miss a few days. Feel free to add me if you'd like me to do the asking ;)

I'm glad you finally found a diagnosis! It seems most girls on here (including me) had symptoms for years without any medical help. For me, once I started taking Metformin, cutting processed sugar, and exercising 5 days a week, I lost 25 lbs in four months, had regular periods for the first time in my life, and was able to…

I've been on for a few years, lost 27 lbs before baby #2, now trying to get to goal weight, so I need to lose about 12 more lbs. I've just now started taking advantage of the community online with MFP, and already this week I have received the motivation I needed to make it through some stress without binge eating sugar…

Thanks! I'm at 177 lbs. I would love to be 167 lbs by Memorial Day.

Using my iPhone, I can't update using the link. Any suggestions?

Definitely need this! I am at a plateau and could use the support

Thanks  I guess I'm around a lot of people who think "natural remedies" are the way to go, so I felt a little guilty when taking the medication made such a drastic improvement. Crazy, I know!

Some people may think it's cheating, but Metformin has been exceedingly helpful for me. My ob gyn put me on it when I was diagnosed with PCOS/insulin resistance three years ago. I started losing weight like I never have (1 lb a week or so), and my periods became regular for the first time in my life. I was already…

For me right now, I still need something to chew on when I get stressed. I'm a stay at home mom with two preschoolers, so I get stressed all the time and I have a whole kitchen at my disposal!! First I started eating a piece of fruit, then I was able to drop down to making a cup of green tea (waiting for the water to boil…
