Everyone is going to have different results with different plans for ME strength training was something of interest to add along to my cardio. It just makes sense. Thanks for everyone's quick reply on the topic at hand.

I don't think anyone is saying cardio doesn't work. I definitely plan on keeping cardio in the mix for multiple reasons, my main focus was how important it was to adding strength training in the mix and reasons why, which everyone has answered and helped me with.

This is extremely helpful, I enjoy the challenge of lifting and I'm a pretty strong woman so knowing all the benefits it will bring has brought a sense of urgency to my attention so I can start doing this for real now. I deff need to work on my protein intake, planning on getting some protein powder this week.

BMI is BS lol. According to my ideal healthy bmi I should weigh about 140lbs....... If I weighed that much I would be ALL BONES. I have a larger frame, as do all the women on both sides of my family so there is no way in hell I would want to weigh that much. I would look very sickly.

I gave up pork and in the process of giving up chips (my weakness) and soda (although I dont drink it that often but for me, once is too much sugar)

I did it at 305!! The heavier you are the more calories you burn yay lol. I absolutely love it, super fun and carefree and its a great workout!! You should do it! If you can do it twice a week and watch the pounds fall off!
