I was so excited to see this thread because I thought you were talking about the 90's Nickelodeon show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBwyAHOhK5w

I am on a similar plan. Slim Jims/pepperoni, sharp cheddar cheese, sugar free pudding with skim milk, sometimes whipped with Free or Lite Cool Whip, lots of chicken -- I wrap it with bacon, coat it with parmesan, add hot sauce and peppers for flavor, or sometimes add it to a bed of romaine with low-carb dressing. I also…

That's what I was thinking of, the intermittent fasting stuff. Not an expert, but I'm with you, and my partner-in-weight-loss-crime agrees on this. Whatever "boost" your metabolism could possibly get from eating in the morning, in our experience, gets cancelled out by going overboard later in the day as a result of…

A girlfriend and I were pretty sloppy drunk at a bar celebrating our acceptances to law school. He introduced himself on the dance floor and ended up taking me to some late-night Denny's -- I spent the night with him (kept it PG13 though). I had to leave the next day on a family vacation and while I was gone, he had to…

I agree. As I get older and get to know myself better, I realize that it's better to just come out with it. If I'm cranky and picking on him, I take a breath and say, "I'm sorry, I'm cranky and whiney." If I need extra affection (I agree, it fluxuates with hormones and my response to "rejection" does, too) I just…

It's true that the treadmill burns less than the elliptical, but probably not half. They work some different muscles so I like to do 5 or 10 minute circuits between the two (I tend to get bored) -- ten on the treadmill, ten on the elliptical, and then I do that for at least 30 minutes total. Using the incline will help…

Congratulations, you must be so proud!

Thanks for the thoughts! I know the cheese adds calories but most cheddars are less than 1 carb per serving, many are zero. I'm just going to try to stick to preparing them at home ahead of time. It's hard though, being busy!

I have been using the carb blocker from Walmart for a couple of weeks, since someone told me how Dr. Oz covered how they work on his show. Basically, any carb blocker with white kidney bean extract will help change the composition of your digestive chemicals (temporarily) so that you cannot absorb the carbs as sugar and…

First, I wasn't making a "statement," I was simply sharing my experiences. Second, I never said that it wasn't better "to do it without them" or that I (or anyone else) couldn't. Of course it's about hard work and watching what you eat -- I would say it's pretty likely that those using MFP for counting and community…

Wow, lots of haters on the diet pills! I happen to love them. I take Alli pretty regularly (despite the side effects, it's really the only thing that actually, chemically, stops fat from being absorbed. I also have been using a carb blocker, which is just white kidney bean extract, for a few weeks. Dr. Oz says that the…

260, you can make it happen! I would go for some popcorn as a snack (either a couple of hours before or after dinner) share a full-size bag and you may use about 60, then you've got 200. Then I might do frozen meal, or the Progresso soup, or a nice big salad with minimal toppings. Or maybe you could even do a burger patty…
