Mix up your workouts. How long have you been logging your food? And what are your goals set for? Maintaining or losing?

Drink water or tea, chew some gum, get out of the house and walk, or ask them to put the junk food somewhere that you can't see so you won't be as tempted. It's hard! The more you say "no" the easier it gets. Go for your goals! :)

And this is why many women can't handle working in a male-dominated workplace. You have to have a sense of humor. My husband sometimes tells me when I come home with stories like this that I could own the company if I ever decided to be offended.

I used to be hungry all the time and really struggled with cutting calories for the first few weeks. Then I upped my protein intake and haven't had trouble with it. I do drink a LOT of water and add in decaf tea once or twice a day, so that may be helping as well. I think it maybe took a little time to retrain my brain not…

Do we have weigh-in tomorrow? And we go by what the starting weight we gave you was, right? Hopefully now that Nick's not drinking, we'll win the challenge! :) (just kidding Nick...I am super impressed you gave it up completely!)

It might help if you shared your diary. Do you want to friend me and I'll take a look?

Cranberry martini or a mojito

We have a lot of separate interests, but I make sure that my husband has met everyone I hang out with when he isn't there. He tells me when I'm going out in a mixed group and there will be alcohol invloved to be careful, and he definitely doesn't like it when he hasn't met the people I'm going out with. He doesn't trust…

Yes. You should've chosen that setting when you signed up. I'm at a computer all day so I'm set to "sedentary" but you should be "moderately active" or "active" (or whatever the wording is).

That's what she said

I call it AWESOME! But it's NU tella. My French teacher told me so when I had an awesome metabolism and could slather it on french bread by the pound (many, many moons ago!).

I have to do breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, then dinner or I won't make it through the day. Even if it's a 50 calorie applesauce or 100 calorie banana, just something in the morning to keep me from gnawing off my arm. As far as the weight loss shakes go, I would skip them. They have a TON of sugar in them. You'd be much…

Yes they are. I plan on them during the days. I usually have one a day use them both pre-workout and post-workout, depending on how my day is going and what kind of snacks I have. Sometimes I make a full shake out of them, and other times I just use the protein powder and water mixed up to keep the overall calorie count…

Once a week and that's it. If I do it more often, I'm discouraged because I'm not losing weight as fast as I think I should.

One of the side effects of too little sodium is sluggishness or feeling tired. If you're not feeling tired and everything is operating normally, I wouldn't worry about how much sodium you get. If you're not feeling energized, you might try upping your sodium intake. One major thing sodium does is help cool the body through…

Too much causes your body to retain water, but it's necessary for your body to function, so you can't cut it out all together. If you end up getting too much in your diet, just drink a lot of water to flush it out.

Feel free to add me! :)

I think it's great we have both meat eaters and vegetarians. If everyone was vegetarian, we'd put a huge strain on the soil in which we grow things to produce all of this vegetarian food. If everyone were meat eaters, we'd put a huge strain on the animal population to sustain us. With a mix, things can be a little more…

You can add me. :)

I'm at 1270 per day without workout calories. You're welcome to add me and check out my diary.

I have the opposite. Mine is Christin (like Kristen) and people pronounce it Christine, Christian, Christina, and some call me Chris (only my family calls me Chris). When I say, "Hi, my name is Christin" and they start calling me Chris, it drives me nuts.

No, not a bad thing in moderation. Your body actually needs it to live. If you don't have enough salt in your system, you can't sweat enough to cool your body down so you can overheat. If you don't get enough sodium naturally, you can also feel weak & exhausted. Everyone is different in how much salt they need. I have a…

I was on here for two weeks before I realized that my diary was automatically set to private. Maybe they just don't know.

It helps keep the body cool (through sweat), regulates blood pressure (the reason to cut back if you have high blood pressure), helps maintain a balance of fluid in the body and passes nutrients along to various part of the body.

Oh, and if you use this link: http://allrecipes.com/recipe/one-pot-pinto-beans/detail.aspx ...don't use the amount of pepper they say. It was WAY too much.

I drain, rinse, add a little bit of fresh water and season liberally with cumin, chili powder, onion powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper and simmer on the stove for 15-30 minutes (for canned beans). I add mine to tacos with a little bit of ground beef. For a quick way to make refried beans, you can try this:…

Leftovers? I make sure to make meals on the weekends and in the evenings that will allow me to have leftovers so it's not the same thing over and over. Some of the Kashi frozen meals are really good too. I like the sweet & sour chicken. You can also bring a sandwich (or half if a whole one is over your calorie budget),…

There's always the possibility of food allergies. Probably not the case, but I realized I was allergic to onions when I felt like I was giving birth as they passed through my intestines. It was seriously exacerbated by running, too. Maybe keep track of what you ate just prior and see if that helps?

I make parmesan crusted chicken that's really good. I also made Zatarains Crab Cake mix the other night and two crabcakes are only 120 calories (I think). My friend made the pork carnitas from the Skinny Taste website and said they were fabulous.

Sorry...I just realized you wanted snacks for your desk job. Guess a blender on your desk is out of the question? Protein bars and protein powders are good. I mix mine with water (or milk if I need more calories) in a cup I bring from home. Easy and filling. Add some fruit on the side and you have a great snack.
