Hi everyone-I like the goals you all have! 1- Log all that I eat every day in June, even if it is a wedding or graduation party or too much wine! Just log every day. 2- Drink my 8 glasses of water every day in June, even if I have a day of shopping and I am afraid I won't find a bathroom, drink 8 glasses every day. 3- Go…

First, congratulations! You seem SO happy with a strong level head!!! Love to see it! All the advise is great! I lost a little over 10 pounds this year. I am making small changes--one was to measure my cream in the coffee! Oh my, I was drinking SO much daily! I now measure 2 Tbsp and that is all I allow myself. I drink…

This is a great post!!! Love this! I have spiral notebooks for daily weighing with day after day at higher weights (I need to lose about 10-15 more-gained 30 over 20 years that would just NOT budge!!!) Anyway, since joining this and logging, posting with friends etc. I lost 11 pounds and I am keeping most of it off. I need…

This was from someone on mfp.... so I am using their words "If you are not hungry enough to eat an apple, you are not hungry."

Alightenedsha: Do you, by chance, have a friend that would commit with you? I started with baby steps- needed to lose 25 very stubborn pounds-lost 10 in a year, so, like I said, baby steps for me. I met friends for walks. We actually chose a lake that had a sidewalk with a 3 mile walk around. THAT way, we couldn't "quit"…

I just received an email from : FitDay.com. It was saying small meals do help, small snacks do help in the area of feeling satisfied: Here are a few snacks that clock in around 80 calories or fewer: - 1/3 cup sherbert (70 calories) - 1 small apple, 6 oz (80 calories) - 11 baby carrots with 1 Laughing Cow Light cheese wedge…

I loved the idea of your post! If everyone kept their successes/photos to themselves, nobody would be motivating each other! So, tell us how you did this? You look fantastic!! Whatever you have chosen to do in your routine is working! Let us know what you have done for the success!

I was sick for many weeks and didn't log in for a few more. I am at 148.8 and will be down by next week!

I JUST started the 1-mile with Leslie Sansone. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to log it in your exercise? Thank you!

Thanks for this post! Is it 45 minutes? How many times do you do this a week?

I absolutely LOVE cereal! Since I have been trying to lose weight, I started measuring.... I used to have lots and lots of light cream in my coffee--now I am at 2 Tbsp. I used to just eat whatever cereal and however much. I went to the organic isle to read a higher fiber/protein content. I now eat 1 cup of Kashi blueberry…

This is soooooo true! Thank you for posting it! I am a snacker by pure habit. It has nothing to do with hunger. The last 2 days, I decided to say "I am committed" versus "I'll try". Day 1--I logged what I ate and it was hard!!! I definitely ate a few things and then didn't log them late at night. Day 2, I was going stir…

My great friend is a personal trainer and a marathon runner. She is so encouraging and wonderful. I take a strength training class from her once a week. She asked me what I ate every day-I should "track" it. I said NO-I eat candy bars, tostidos, gold fish etc. AHA moment was when she said... "If you are comfortable how you…

I think this is the best post I have read since joining mfp. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for posting it. The thought that your sister drove 600 miles to do the walk with you is incredible. Stay positive!

You are working so hard and I am sorry you haven't lost the weight recently! The website does have great posts on plateaus. Look around and ready some. I am just starting, so I am not great at this. But, many say UP your calories because your body has lowered the metabolism to accommodate the lower intake. Or have a cheat…

I put my jeans in the dryer today to have them be more snug! The jeans have gotten a little loose. that made me psyched to think-I don't have to hand dry them anymore or stretch them out before I walk out the door.

I was diagnosed 14 years ago-doing well on meds. I am over 50 too, so weight doesn't come off as easily. And I have hypoglycemia so I am paranoid of getting hungry because of the symptoms when the sugar drops. I reached a point a year or so ago that enough was enough. My knees hurt and I have a bad back and I had gained 30…
