Congratulations on losing almost 30 pounds! That is fantastic!! I have heard that the more weight you lose, the harder it is to lose! Keep reading the advice, keep drinking that water, keep researching, but most of all, keep positive! You will get there!!!

I am trying, really trying, to not eat after dinner. That is my down fall. I love to snack--then snack some more. I started back on mfp with a goal to stop gaining weight. I started looking at my food and all day, I did pretty well. Then after dinner, just wanting crackers, cookies, popcorn, just kind of a mindless, but…

I have good friends on MFP, but need some more friends that motivate and comment! It isn't easy, but it doesn't have to be without partners!! Good for you for being back!

I started with a thought.... a friend lost 25 pounds in a year. That means, it didn't happen overnight, like I want! Then I started weighing myself to be accountable. That made me stop gaining weight. That was my goal. Once I found a solid weight, without gaining every other day, I started filling up the water bottles.…

Yes, you can do this! And most of us have done the same thing.... loss then gain, but then we choose to come back!
-
This isn't deep at all, but someone wrote it on mfp and I think of it when I want to eat.... "If you aren't hungry enough to eat an apple, you aren't hungry"

It's the best! Congrats to you! Keep up this healthy work for yourself!!
-
keep it up! 12 will become 12.2 then 13! Each pound lost is the best thing you can do for your joints!!! high five!

you could always pick a number between doctor and map--2500 and 3790. i would go with 3200 calories and work hard at staying under 3000 for 3 weeks. If no loss, bring it to 3000 for another 3 weeks. That's what I would do. The 3790 sounds high because it is over a pound (3500), but Michael Phelps said he ate 12,000…

Until I started adding foods on this app, I had no idea pasta had so many calories and salads in restaurants!! Opened my eyes!

This is great! 500 days is ALSO great! - I have learned getting down on myself about the number on the scale isn't being a good role model for my kids. - I have also learned the concept of weight loss is not linear! Thanks for this!!!
-
I just keep reading, and believing, weight loss is not linear. Get back on track and it will drop!!! You are doing it!!

Take a moment every day to be SOOOOOO proud of yourself! This is a great gift to yourself and those that love you!!! Awesome!

This is a great post! I woke up yesterday on a Monday and 1st of May with the goal of losing 5 pounds in May. I do the same that you do, weigh every day, same condition. so, this am, I had lost .2 pounds. I started doing the math-"if I lose .2 every day...." then I realized, I can't do this to myself--it isn't linear and I…

I have trouble logging everything, everyday. That is my goal... I like the attitude of "do it for 4 weeks". That might make me feel less overwhelmed. I start today, with being honest and true! I think it keeps me more honest with myself with the amount of water I drink as well! log

For some reason, weighing myself exactly the same way, the minute I wake up, keeps me motivated. If it is down, I feel so much more motivated for the day. If it is up, I have been telling myself, look at what you have logged AND look at what you haven't logged!!! The weight in the morning on my digital scale is my truth…
-
You have had a very healthy start!! Keep going! It is a terribly frustrating and discouraging task, but you want it! Keep going!!

That is such a great accomplishment!! Keep it up! I'll add you! I was at 175 this morning looking to go to 145

Great advise! I was just diagnosed with this... wow, it is the most painful thing! I bought "fit flops" and wear them all day inside. I like the idea of the frozen water bottle--didn't think of the thick socks either! thx. I am going to start PT after everyone leaves after Thanksgiving. Good luck to all with this. I…
