Pay the same attention to your calories and exercise - just talk about it less. That's what your friends on MFP are for. Some spouses can't bear to hear about it over and over again! Good luck!

Don't be discouraged! First - this is not a race but a healthy lifestyle change. Calories in - calories out - FOREVER. You did not gain it in a short time and it will take a long time to lose it - and to keep it off! It WILL happen - keep the faith!

Agree with alot o these posts but ALSO ... this happens to me when I don't get enough protein - really important to build muscle and feel fuller longer. I always try to be in the RED (over) in protein :-)

Every morning I lecture myself about exercising and eating right. My suggestion is to get rid of any temptations in the house - time for hubby and kids to eat healthy too :-) There are yummy recipes for meals AND treats that are healthy - online or right here on MFP. Swear off of fast food too (if you have not already). I…

I Zumba! Class, DVD's and Zumba for Wii (really GREAT by the way).

I have a yogurt or small breakfast before working out and another breakfast with extra protein after - sometimes that is a protein shake that I make (I don't like the pre-made ones). Gotta see what works best for you but I have been told numerous times to have some protein within 1-2 hrs following a hard workout.

NO you are NOT fat - but exercise anyway. It makes you healthy and more toned and works that biggest muscle in your body - you know - the important one called the HEART!

I refuse to give it up - I'd rather be fat. So - I watch everything else, including calories, and ALWAYS save some for a little treat. I have become a wiz at finding low cal treats. Skinny Cow, Trader Joes Dark Choc Caramel Wedges, Tootsie Pop, Dum Dum pops, Weight watchers fudge bar, etc. I find sucking on a lollipop or a…

It happens at first - once you build up your own foods and history it get's easier. I wondersometimes why people enter data for the rest of us to use that is WRONG. Doing themselves and us a disservice.

Of these - definately the Fajita Pita with grilled chicken

It takes 21 days to make it a habit. Get out of bed - do it and be glad it is DONE for the DAY! I have to lecture and force myself most mornings too :-)

It really varies by instructor, class, your fitness, age, weight, etc. I usually burn 300-400 for one hr class or Zumba for Wii. DVD's I burn less. Get an HRM with a chest strap to know for sure. You can get at Walmart or Amazon - Polar is a brand that alot of MFPeeps like.

QVC has some cute things - and some frumpy things but there is lots to choose from. I recently purchased some great shorts for a cruise. I have friends that have purchased designer clothes from eBay too. If you are scared to by pre-worn or not new items you can search by size and New with tags only. I also buy from…

Amazing - thanks for sharing! P90X is REALLY hard - so make sure you are ready to go from a walking DVD to that. Don't get me wrong - you CAN do it. I know you will be successful in this journey. Hang tough!

Keep it up - cardio is king for belly fat - or fat period. I have never targeted and have lost over 10 inches off my waist. You have only just begun - give it some time and keep up the good work! Love EA Sports - try the Zumba for Wii too :-) Oh - and previous responder says running - running is just another cardio…

There are several MFP'ers who have asked this question. Go to recipe message boards and search Breakfast. Lots of ideas!

Just look at what fast food has done to us Americans! Now - that's not my excuse because I never caught the craze - but so many have and they have gotten richer and made us fatter. The food does not even decompose! Yikes! What's in it? You just need to stay away and learn some yummy recipes to cook at home. Don't deprive…

Check out www.hungry-girl.com I often have her egg mugs - classic is my "go to" Stir some canned pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice into regular oatmeal. Better Oats makes an Oat Fit instant in Cinnamon Roll that is yummy and 100 calories. If you live where they have Trader Joes - they have a low fat frozen french toast that is…

Lots of protein and fiber rich foods in the morning and for lunch! Late afternoon and night is the worst! I like Good Earth caffeine free tea in Original Sweet & Spicy. It is the only one that works for me - so, so flavorful and ZERO calories!

Go for a small piece of dark chocolate and savor it!

Having traveled a lot on business it is best to go with the local places - not the chains. Seafood is great in FL. Just special order it broiled or baked with no butter. If you don't eat seafood - go with chicken - or even a lean pork (tenderloin) As for sides - I usually just ask for double veggies and no starch. Most…

Yes, I have experienced this. When I tell them how much I weigh they say "Oh - well sure does not look like that". Tell them what you weigh! They are just not used to seeing you like this. Tell them you goals are ABOVE the recommended weight for your height and that you HOPE they will support you in getting healthy. Good…
